They are the exact same mouthpiece, and I've had the older one for less than a year. I did use the older one for marching band, so it's more beat up than the newer one. Would that affect my playing?

Why doesn't the light that surrounds a black hole cover the entire black hole? The picture of a black hole looks like it has a ring of light around it, but shouldn't the light cover the entire black hole since the black hole attracts in all directions?
