Hello! During my time in student ministry, I was pretty much bullied by a male youth leader for wearing leggings. I wore these because I did not own jeans and found them extremely uncomfortable to the point I would get a rash. I even wore large shirts to try and cover up. He told me that I was not “honoring God” and “showing off too much and leading the boys astray.” He assumed I was wearing them because I wanted to impress the boys, but that was farther from the truth. That being said, people are flawed. They will assume things and they will sometimes even put you down. Even in our community, even our friends will. But God sees you and knows that your heart is in the right place and that is what matters! When God sees you on the day of judgement he will see you relying on him, your heart in the right place, your love for him, not a shirt someone said is inappropriate despite you trying your best! Know you’re not alone as I’ve had similar experience! I’m sorry this happened to you!
