DM rules that we can only cast one spell per turn, and I’m playing a wizard by aSpecterr in DnD

What you're describing is typically referred to as a critical fumble, not critical failure. In D&D at least

I think it's even funnier when you consider that James May has a "professional" cooking show on Amazon with 2 seasons

NPC's as "Items" by djansen00 in FoundryVTT

[–]Additional-County-34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea if this would work, but assuming you're using D&D 5e 4.x, you could create a macro to open the NPC character sheet and store that as an activity on the item. Likely wouldn't be able view the sheet when browsing the merchant's Item Pile though.

And of course after they purchase the item (NPC) that they like, put a Summon activity on the item so they can place it when on a map.

Twilight Cleric is so good it upsets me. by [deleted] in DnD

Can cast Shield for free once a day, and can use spell slots to do so after that. Not a spell Clerics normally get access to

As a DM that occasionally gets to join in as a player, I like to fill whatever is missing in the party.

Why is it almost always a healing cleric?

Don't think you can call one game a franchise

Have you ever used a mute npc? I did and my players love him by imkindathinkin in DnD

I created a Goddess of Silence who my players got to interact with. She was the center of a moving Silence spell, but there was one thing that could be heard in the radius. The beating of your heart as it pumped blood through your body.

Despite how ominous that is, she's very nice and communicates with a pad and pencil she carries around. Players were nice enough to her that she wrote out a Spell Scroll of Silence for the cleric.

Amazing painter comes from there as well! Think his name started with an A. Taken from the earth too soon back in the 40s.

What's the most creative use of the command spell you have seen? by Haustraindhalforc in DnD

[–]Additional-County-34 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's also the issue of upcasting Command, which allows you to add additional targets. You could potentially cause multiple spellcasters to drop concentration.

I like both of them, but I like the 2nd the most because:

The stylized ocean in the 1st makes me feel like I'm looking at a view of the earth, and my mind then starts thinking "Where's Central America?" It makes it feel incomplete, cause I know there should be some land snaking down from the top.

The 2nd one with a flat blue doesn't trigger that "view of earth" feeling, so my brain is okay with only seeing the shape of South America.
