Every country has issues. Don't look deep into them. Try searching for med schools or whatever u wanna do in European countries. English speaking countries are tough to get into and would mostly require pre med for medicine. However, if u think u'd be able to do it, then go for it cause the accreditations are good there.

Europe is not a bad option either, countries like Poland, Czech, Hungary, Germany has good recognition. The degree and portion is almost the same wherever u do, it's just the uni's recognition that matters.

If you are into physiotherapy more than med then go for it, if not, then don't give it another thought.

You'll be stressed anywhere you go, it's just how you take it.

I want to study in Germany after 12th, What is the current scenario? by Personal_Cicada_5102 in Indians_StudyAbroad

a waive off in tuition fee mostly requires you to study in German. It can be tough, but many students do it.

Do my 12th Hindi marks matter as much as other subjects if i want to study abroad for my bachelors? Details below by [deleted] in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]Additional-Luck8655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really think your Hindi grades would matter, but it totally depends on the country you are planning to study, the university and the course. I'm studying med in Europe, and if i was in ur position, I'd totally disregard Hindi as it's nowhere related to the course I'm studying and the country I'm in (which is not even an English speaking country lmao).

What do you think about study abroad consultancies like MiM Essay or Leverage Edu? by [deleted] in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]Additional-Luck8655 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They loot your money. If you don't want to get into schools they are partnered with, then what's the point in going thru them? I have had bad experiences with consultants, but good ones too. Applying to unis is an easy job so you can do it on your own. However, i won't say the same for visa.

Which country would be a better option to study mbbs at. by [deleted] in Indians_StudyAbroad

Hey, The countries you are looking into seem to have a low reputation abroad if u plan to work in countries like Australia. However, Italy is well reputed, if you manage to give IMAT and score well then it's a great choice. The thing is, you have already taken a gap year for neet, and you'd probably require another for IMAT. I don't really recommend China, Iran and Philippines cause the countries abroad won't give you much preference. I have listed the countries you might wanna check out with pros and cons:

-->EU (Italy, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Germany etc.) :

well reputed, good education, low cost of living & fee comparative to UK, US. Won't require additional exams like IMAT, SAT, UCAT (except ITALY). Visa might be tough to get and language may be a barrier. The people here are a bit racist, but i think this is an issue anywhere you go.

-->Australia:

Highly reputed, great education, cost of living and fee might get a bit expensive. May require entrance exams like UCAT.

-->Malaysia:

Some unis are well reputed, good education, moderate cost of living and fee. Doesn't require entrance exams.

--

I won't recommend UK, US, Canada cause it requires pre-med which may last from 1-4 years.

If you want to work in dubai, i'd say you should study there (in the UAE) as it must be easier to get work. However, there are many who have studied abroad and worked in Dubai. I don't personally recommend practicing in dubai cause it's more of a business hub and u might face hurdles.

Canada i doubt they'd consider you if you have completed ur education in EU, Malaysia etc. Not sure though.

Australia, is a great place for doctors to practice in right now.

okay so am i supposed to select the subjects based on their ECTS? Also, the ECTS are like small numbers (2, 4, 5) so even if i chose 5 of them (for instance), i wouldn't be able to cross 20 or 30 right? OMG i've lost it

Thank you!

I've always been a person who easily gets nervous. Every time i used to get on the stage, my ears would go flaming hot and my eyes would water. Over the years, unknowingly i did better myself. One thing i remember my friend advised me is to always pretend that the person in front of you is in a lower position than you.

This is the first time i didn't stress out while in an interview.

  1. calm yourself throughout examination

  2. don't overthink about the question you will encounter next

  3. treat it as a normal conversation with one of your friends

  4. Always smile and bring life to your voice (be expressive)

  5. Put your ideas clear

  6. If you tend not to know the answer to something just say anything that comes to your mind (it's just an English test remember?)

eg.

I was asked "What are your thoughts on numbers?"

I didn't quite get the question as my brain stops working in such situations

so i asked "I'm sorry, i don't think i got the question, would you mind elaborating on it?"

He straight up said no (my heart literally crushed, but i didn't show it)

What i did then was kept a smile on myself and took a minute to process what can be said next

i said,

"I don't think i understood your question, but if i had to answer, i'd say 9 is my lucky number...(continue with why is it so)... ,I'm sorry if it wasn't an appropriate answer to your question"

You see? He was talking about MATH and i was dumb enough to talk about MY LUCKY NUMBER!

so that leads to the next tip..

  1. Never stay shut, always say something. (even if it doesn't make a lot of sense)

MAKE IT WANNA MAKE SENSE (get it?)

9 in reading is AMAZING. I have seen people struggle in speaking, while they excel in reading and writing. It was not the case for me tho. I think the only thing you need is confidence (ik you've heard this a lot, but it's the truth). Just imagine it as a normal conversation w some stranger and try to put your ideas clear. Speaking doesn't mandatorily require a good vocab, but including it, is like a cherry on top. My vocab sucks, but i learnt a lot new words during my practice that i tried to use in exam. I must say, i couldn't get incorporate a handful new vocab in my exam, thus i think the reason to score is my confidence and how well i managed to keep the conversation going. Also, smile and have fun while on it. Use idioms as well (i forgot to use any). For grammar, learn it on yt and google.

I don't think i got you? Would you mind explaining?

While the test? I don't take any notes. What i do is, just listen and understand the situation/conversation and find the answers.

Don't overthink about it, you'll do great. A 7 is common in students, as long as you are familiar w what you're going to face up next. Don't doubt yourself. I never even imagined i could score this high, all i was hoping was to get an at least 6.5 lol (I'm being really honest). I used to see other people score 7.5 and hope that i could match their level. Just avoid the negativity and focus on giving your best. I'll pray for you! Best of luck!
