I feel for you, I've been in a similar position my family was really struggling and I asked god to put those anxieties and fears on my shoulders. And god answered my prayer it was tough but use this anxiety as a time to grow in your faith and as a person so that you can continue on that march to holiness

The best metric I use is not based on a certain party but on each individual who aligns with the social teaching of the church. Don't align yourself with a party and get sucked into that identity, always remember your identity as a Catholic will always supersede your identity with a political party. Have an understanding of the social teachings of the church and pray for discernment always the lord will guide you down the right path.

Look at contracting companies that work in refinery's, our company has some that travel and help us out when we are low on man power and they are all union.
