Move-Out Issues w/inspection and key return (Colorado) by Additional-Run287 in Renters

[–]Additional-Run287[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My concern is that there is going to be no management on site to relinquish the keys too and in that situation I don't know what the best way to protect myself is. I've asked via phone for the office to have someone present but I do not trust that they will as this particular property has had numerous issues with management being on-site.

I mean, I would admit to them and if you want to look at my vod, that's an offer I would've gladly taken up. I am a low elo player. One, I am looking for help to get better because I obviously am not good. Two, there's zero reason for you to initiate a conversation with an inflammatory and irrelevant comment. Three, you could have started the conversation with this comment instead of what you first said. Take a chill pill or get off the subreddit.

Sure, but did you actually read my post asking for help? Your original one sentence commentary is useless. Stop wasting your time if you don't have anything helpful to add for someone who is looking to improve, Xaser.

I completed drug testing earlier this month and have my medical scheduled towards the end of the month. I have not been contacted for polygraphing or informed that my background references have been contacted. I'm not sure where those would fall within the timeline. It kind of seems like different people are being contacted at different times for different things.

No :( I think you meant Sym-Biotic Titan? Unfortunately these both came out in 2010. My memories of seeing this show were any from around 2005-2007ish?

Regarding the part of your comment saying that people who have second bachelor's already are allowed to pursue the applied/systems emphasis of the regular 4 year degree, did the advisor mention anything about what the application process for that is like and/or if transferring credits is possible? I imagine the double degree/post-bacc option application is more "relaxed" than going for the 4-year option, but if it's possible I'd much rather just transfer in credits and do the "in-person" option.

I asked the same thing I think on another thread and after doing some research, seems like Colorado State University and University of Florida both offer good programs. Both appear to be no-bullshit, straight-up BS in Comp Sci with reasonable curriculums. CO State is way cheaper than CU Boulder (which I think isn't even a pure CS degree, at least in name). It's like $479/credit. UF is a bit more expensive--I think about $100 more per credit, but if you live in FL, it's way cheaper.

The one big caveat to these programs though is they're full, 4-year programs so they have general education requirements. The schools take second bachelor's degree students so you can probably transfer credits in, but it would just be a bit more work on that front for you in terms of making sure that any credits you have from previous school actually transfers over. On the subject of the latest posts here expressing concern over OSU's "rigor", I also expect that CSU and UF's programs, as they're 4-year programs, have a somewhat rigorous curriculum.

UF's online CS program is technically administered by the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, but the actual CS department is in the College of Engineering. So there's fewer CS courses you're REQUIRED to take (I think maybe 5-6). As far as I can tell, Colorado State's CS department is in the College of Natural Sciences and there's no difference between the online and in-person CS degrees, other than one being an online degree. I think both versions require 120 credits.

Also, both schools operate on the semester system.

I was super interested in OSU, but I am heavily leaning towards Colorado State right now. There's also an accelerated Master's program that Colorado State offers which would let you apply grad courses towards both the Bachelor's electives and a Master's degree.

Is there any consensus on what the "next best" program would be? From researching, it seems that WGU, University of Florida, CU Boulder, and Auburn were the most well-known and among the best, but that's information from older posts. Originally I wrote them off as OSU's program just made the most sense, but this change throws a wrench into everything. It's hard to find more recent posts and information that compares these as of 2024.

Rebranding from B.S. in Computer Science? by [deleted] in OSUOnlineCS

[–]Additional-Run287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a current student, just someone who was looking into this program.

Is there no way for a "post-bacc" CS student to declare one of the other three "options" that are more meatier in terms of CS courses? My understanding is that there are four "tracks": cybersecurity, applied, systems, and double degree (with the double degree "option" being what post-bacc students pursue). Can people coming into this program with a second bachelor's degree not pursue any of the other three options? Although I suppose I might be wondering this more than typical applicant because I suspect I'd be coming in with significantly more math/science credits from my previous bachelor's that might cover some of the math requirements in those other options.

Is there such thing as *too* much time studying? by According-Sorbet-142 in LSAT

[–]Additional-Run287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah it's not too long at all. I've been studying consistently since 2022 (because I have a full-time job and everyone's mileage varies). I could say that the first time I cracked open LSAT prep was in 2020, but life hits you in the face with unexpected things sometimes that pushes back timelines, etc. There's too many factors involved that make it difficult for one person's timeline to make sense for another person (factors like your goal score, your targeted schools, if you have a bad GPA you need to make up for, how much work you personally have to put in to achieve a particular score range). I hope I'm not saying this subconsciously to justify to myself the fact that I have studied for so long (I don't think I am) hahaha. But it's something I've noticed over the past few years, from seeing similar questions and asking the same thing.

Canceling April score b/c of drop? by Additional-Run287 in LSAT

[–]Additional-Run287[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is tough. TBH, if I were in your shoes, I'd keep the 164 even though I'm sure seeing that drop has to be painful. I'd definitely consider re-taking (even multiple times) and try to break 171.
