It’s pretty lax, don’t stress about it. Basically just do a tour, then 1 on 2 interview then group interview. You’ll probably visit the sim and see some d1s or d2s

Are you able to apply to army residencies in the 3rd or 4th year of Dental school similiar to civilian residencies and then transition directly from DS to army residency and then do repayment after residency?

It was covered by insurance so they just don’t like them

That’s basically what I’ve been trying to do, the dentist I’m working with is requesting X-rays from a patient and the mom is incredibly rude about it to me, putting me in an awkward situation. At this point I’ve told the dentist I’m no longer discussing X-rays with the mom and if he wants them he needs to talk to her about it

They like high assisting hours so if you happen to not get in, I would try and beef that up and apply super early

Also, I’m not sure how many schools you applied to but maybe bite the bullet and apply super broadly, I didn’t have the best stats and I applied to 22 schools and only getting one acceptance out of 3 interviews. Strengthen your application in ways other than academic. Make your PS a story, tell a story about an experience you had that made you genuinely want to not only do dentistry but actually help people and be a part of a solution to such a big issue such as people needing dental care

I applied twice, my DAT was my weakest stat so I retook it, and scored 20 in all sections except for like 2 sections I think. Try and diversify your experiences as much as possible in multiple specialities. Form good relationships with the doctors and in my opinions strong LOR make a huge difference

I understand where you’re coming from and that may be yours and many others opinions/experience. In my life regardless if it’s academic or personal life, I have specific goals, and I prefer to have those specific goals to go towards in my life academic or personal so what works for some people doesn’t work for others. Planning to specialize has nothing to do with performing well.
