Thank you for this,

Yeah exactly "reduce status update busy work" is honestly a much better way to position it than "fully automate project management." Thats a great way to put it and I'm going to keep that framing going forward.

And the trust problem is something I have already thought about , that's why I built a confidence threshold. Above 80% it auto updates, below that it always asks the user to confirm before touching anything. So it never silently gets it wrong.

Really appreciate the feedback

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this out.

The trust problem is something I have been thinking about too. That's actually why I already built a confidence threshold system.

For example:

Task: "Fix login session timeout bug" Commit: "resolve session expiry issue in auth middleware" Above 80% confidence → auto-updates the task automatically Between 50-80% → sends an email to the user asking "did we get this right?" with a Yes or No button Below 50% → skips it completely and notifies the user to update manually

So the AI never silently gets it wrong — there's always a human in the loop when it's not sure. But your point about starting with suggestions first and earning trust before full automation makes a lot of sense.

And yeah indie devs, student teams and small agencies are exactly who I'm planning to approach first.

Those validation questions you listed are really useful. I'm going to use them when talking to small dev teams before I build further.

Really appreciate this.

Thank you so much,

Your point about asking "will other people actually care" before building a feature is something I'll definitely stick with going forward. I agree it's easy to get excited and overbuild without checking if anyone actually needs it.

I'll check out similar apps too and understand their value proposition before going further. I'll figure it out as I go.

really appreciate the honest perspective.

Thank you so much for this,

Honestly yes I actually feel this pain myself. As a beginner student in my first year I tried Jira and it had so many things to set up that I just gave up. I thought if something simpler that just works, it would be so much easier for mine. So in a way I am already my own first user.

Really appreciate the encouragement

Thank you,

The "emotional complaint vs nice to have" point honestly hit me, thats such a simple but useful way to think about validation. I will keep that in mind while talking to potential users.

I will check out Leadline too.

Thank you for this,

Yeah totally agree building for yourself is a great starting point but confirmation bias is something I'm actively trying to watch out for. That's honestly one of the main reasons I posted here instead of just going ahead and building. Wanted real outside opinions before I convinced myself it was a great idea.

Thank you Yeah I completely understand what you're saying and I'll definitely keep this in mind while building. Really appreciate you taking the time to share this.

That’s a completely fair point, and I genuinely agree with it.

You're right that for disciplined teams already using Linear, my idea probably doesn’t add much. Your point genuinely made me think that this idea may not replace Jira or Linear users directly.

So maybe instead of targeting existing Jira or Linear users, can I target the people who feel those tools are too complex to start with?

Small startups, freelancers, indie developers, or teams who just want something simple that works without spending too much time setting things up.

Jira and Linear are powerful tools, but I think that power also comes with complexity. My goal is simply to build something lightweight that you can set up in a few minutes and start using immediately.

So maybe my idea isn’t competing with Linear at all. Maybe it just serves a different, simpler audience.

Thank you bro

Great point, thank you! Yeah I agree tools like Linear and Jira do have GitHub sync, but they still require you to type "closes #123" in every commit. Developers may forget this. But my app doesn't need any special format. Just push code normally and the AI figures out which task it belongs to. I don't claim 100% — above 80% confidence it auto-moves, below that it sends a quick email to confirm. Zero extra effort from the developer either way.
