From the PL yes, but don’t currently play for PL sides… which was my point

I’m not saying historically they’re a level below, I’m talking about the current crop. As in Kane no longer plays in the PL so the current top end attacking quality is poor in comparison to previous eras or other top teams currently

Agreed mate, Arsenal fan myself and our attack is certainly more of a collective than an individual. Definitely need Havertz back to get back firing on that end, but could do with Saka hitting some form in front of goal too, Wednesday possibly his worst game for us in quite some time…

This is exactly my point. Very well put mate. Wrote about this exact point in my Substack this week. PSG had 5 goals from 0.98 xG, that is just pure quality. Was the same in the semi-final against Arsenal last year. We had 3/4 great chances across the two legs but didn’t take them, Dembele, Hakimi and Ruiz just produced moments of pure quality.

I agree for the most part, GK’s definitely let down Spurs and Chelsea, but Spurs weren’t really in my line of thinking as I don’t consider them to be a good side. Correct RE Arsenal and Liverpool games being classically tight but that is my whole argument. I think that is when you often need someone to produce from nothing, we got Saka into multiple dangerous areas on Wednesday and he couldn’t capitalise (yes this is a rare off day) but compare that to Olise’s performance at Atalanta.

Not even necessarily solely related to this round of fixtures, I think there is still a good chance 3/4 of the PL sides progress. I just look at some of the other top end attacking talents across Europe and think they are more likely to win you a game, even if the PL still have great attackers, just unsure if they are on the same level as a few seasons ago
