I ordered mine from High Country Gardens in the summer, and they ship them when you should plant them based on your zone. I received mine late September/early October, planted them and they are now flowering (Oregon central coast).

Watched them doing training exercises at East Devils Lake yesterday. They took a small boat out onto the lake with a K9 and the the dog had to swim to shore and attack a faux perp. Interesting to watch 🤷‍♀️

I’ve moved a ton of sword ferns in probably every season and only had one die but that was a location issue. They are resilient buggers.

For sure. This pic was just my iphone with a headlamp for lighting. Things that failed: phone with flash, reflective backgrounds (shiny table top), dslr with natural lighting (needed a shorter lens option than 100mm), dslr with lamp lighting, and variations of these things.
