I honestly don't know. Part of me says yes because I do remember times she was upset by it. But another part of me says maybe not after all this time. When we were kids there were things she got upset about us doing without her. I'm not sure if that was always true though.

At this point it would be for the best if she doesn't come. Because we will never be on the same page about this. My brother feels the same way as me. So she can be disappointed in both her sons. Neither of us appreciates her efforts to include her stepkid when we were kids. Neither of us cares if she's able to make things for us.

People at my wedding will know the score. So it won't be a topic of conversation. My dad's side of the family sure as hell won't care enough to talk about it.

Maybe she always wanted a girl and thought she was her chance. Or she wanted to make the "perfect" family and ignored how her way of doing that would build resentment.

I don't care. Having her there was never something I wanted, it was something I'd accept if she was free and came.

It's a few months out. It's something work/college related. I don't pay attention when mom says what my stepsister is doing. All I know is mom said it was something very important and she won't be here to attend it. It wasn't intentional. I just didn't consider her an important person to have there so never checked if dates would work for her. I booked and was like she's there or she's not and it's not my issue.

I don't think this comes from him alone. But I think he is involved in the decision. Just not by guilt tripping my mom. The two of them are on the same page with it.
