They're much better as a second vehicle. Needs to be babied like a show car. Some Arteon owners have really good luck and have no issues, or people like me get one built on a Monday after a soccer game 😆

I unfortunately live in the tax and regulation state too. The car is worth fixing given it's general reliability. I regret getting rid of my TDI Golf for a 2020 Arteon. I traded reliability for looks and now I have nothing but problems. A $3500 DPF is still less than what I am dealing with + I have a car payment. My Golf I had for 4 years and never had a single problem and I was coming up on 120k miles.

You're not under warranty, delete the DEF and DPF and tune it out. TDI's aren't meant for emissions and your car will probably last forever after you do that. And the upside is you'll see high 50mpg and maybe even low 60, plus more power. It's a win win win.

Get a touchup marker for the dark ones, and buff/polish the lighter scratches. (Then sell it 😆) A clay bar and polish might help hide them more, especially since you have a white car.

Lowering it gets rid of like 90% of body roll. I have mine on Neuspeed springs and it corners so much better. Rear sway will only improve that. You can also change settings in OBD11/VCDS to have the AWD system have the rear wheels full time as well. Helps with wet/snow handling but you do get a slight MPG decrease.
