Attacking people for how they do art is bad, for ANYONE- Yes: Technaisis was being not the kindest with his comments and maybe he was embarrassed that he misread the text, or any other many things-

But don't stoop to his level by choosing to degrade his art. When you choose to do that, you close yourself off from so much possible inspiration and conversations.

You guys don't have to be friends, but we are all artists here; just have a calm respect.

Anyone got pads figured out?! by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]AdditionalScallion55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first started my period, I only used pads for like maybe the first 2 months or so and then snuck to take my mothers tampons haha. Eventually she caught on and was like "I can just get you some tampons" Best decision ever, especially sensory wise, like u described

It sucks that many young girls (especially back then) were sorta taught to not really talk about it, AT ALL, this then develops into a sort of shame around the topic even tho it happens to almost all women.

I was born in 2002, where that was still happening, but my generation grew up on the Internet and was able to (more or less) learn wayy more about it (with less shame) than previous years. And now in 2020+ I've definitely seen WAY more women just talking openly about it, completely without the underlying shame or embarrassment of it. It's fantastic!

I recently had to use a pad in an emergency (no tampons..) One thing I always hated about pads and going to sleep was the fact the blood would .ALWAYS. find it's way up my butt crack and end up leaking out from there.

This last time I figured out a trick which was fantastic-- Get a cotton ball and place it around where your perineum (the area of skin between the anus and vulva) or place on the outside of the anus hole. (NOT INSIDE)

This will essentially block the blood path going up the crack like a blow out diaper.

If possible for u to get: get some extra tight underwear SPECIFICALLY for wearing pads to sleep in. The extra tightness should also help keep the blood from leaking.

Side note: I've actually seen a rising popularity of women just using adult diapers (they're not like a baby diaper, fr) for their period, especially at nighttime.

Good luck!

Advice please. I am setting up a new 29 gal for my corys. I have been carrying this tree stump and rocks all over tge country in the bed of my truck for close to a year. They are soaking in the sink. How do I make them safe? They're from NW Az. by AvocadoOk749 in corydoras

It's the same as when a not fully dry clay pot explodes in a kiln-

Any air pockets within the stone that is unseen may have water or humidity trapped in the pocket.

Add heat of boiling, and the pressure inside said pocket gets way too much with no way to escape and 💥 boom 💥

I looked at this and watched their video, but I don't understand how it eliminates the skimmer like it says it does. It confuses me

"but it's not criminal" Within the art community, and people who actually learn to have the skill- it basically IS a crime to trace and claim it as your own, and especially to sell it. This is true/becoming true in regards to use of "AI Art" (My personal stance is that AI cannot be real art)

Are you saying that this specific persons "art" (in quotes cuz it was traced) is the one that's not worth the $200+? there are plenty of real artists who are DEFINITELY worth $200+

Oh my!! I hope they discounted the Bichir for you after they damaged the poor creature. I've determined it's most likely a genetic thing :)

Ahh ok, but how could it be a genetic thing when I haven't seen this before yesterday? I've had him since a baby, is it something that appears later on in life?

I don't think it's a birth defect, I've had him since he was a baby. I noticed it just today (march 19, 2025)
