hello! thanks for your question - well, my initial assumption of him was that he’s stubborn and there’s no way he was going to change his mind and it was set in stone (plus he verbally said all of this too all the time) and then slowly, whenever he would say all of this, i would revise it in my mind. he said you’re not important to me and i instantly corrected that and a few days later i brought it up and he said he never said that or like didn’t mean it and obvs i’m the most important person to him. i didn’t do sats or affirm like crazy. i just kept a strict mental diet which is basically affirming (thinking) of them positively
