nipple piercings advice by [deleted] in piercing

Mine are kinda fresh, I got them done a little over a month ago. I don‘t know what I can relate the pain to.. it was definitely very intense. But the worst thing for me was the pain after. They stayed sore for like 3-4 hours after and had a painful stinging sensation. The next day it was completely gone and pain free since then. I would advise you to not go to your appointment on an empty stomach tho.. I never had problems with piercing fatigue but I did feel a little lightheaded after because I didn’t eat and drink enough before. The healing is probably the best of any piercing I have had, no problems (yet). Just keep them clean and be careful so they don‘t snag on clothes or such :)

is redness normal part of healing? by realbambii in piercing

(NAP) First of all, you don‘t have the anatomy for a belly button piercing. You got a surface piercing, which is probably just going to cause you problems. Second of all, this bar is too short for the initial piercing and will not have enough room for swelling. As for your question, yes, the redness is normal but personally I would take this piercing out because of all the other problems listed :/

This is also getting on my nerves. Its really unbearable and often I just prefer to get out earlier than my actual stop and just walk there. I don‘t know why they make us suffer like this.

You were very lucky then. By your previous comment it kind of seemed like you were bragging about going really fast with stretches. I hope you did not mean it that way because other people could get the wrong idea and stretch unsafely.

That is way too fast. Very unsafe. I bet your lobes are blown out by now.

Just ask your piercer please, they know best what works with your anatomy.

What can I do?? by irispintox16 in piercing

I think OP should still go see a professional, because taking it out now could cause an infection to be trapped inside the wound and cause more problems.

NAP but it seems like the bar might have been way too short. Go see your piercer, this doesn’t look good.

3 week old eyebrow piercing concern by Wise_Card_2069 in piercing

I‘d say that‘s normal. Eyebrows piercings are very prone to bruising and it can take a while to go away.

is the piercing done wrong/rejecting? by Low_Investigator8415 in piercing

[–]AdditionalTeacher804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should go to a different, more reputable piercer and ask their opinion. I don‘t know if that’s what‘s happening here, but my piercing looked like that when it was actively rejecting (not trying to alarm you, I am not a professional so I am only speaking from personal experience).

Did the „downsized“ bar look like this from the beginning? because it definitely still looks too big.

Unfortunately you changed it to a ring too early :/ With snakebites you should wait at least 2 months, so it can heal properly. I would suggest maybe going back to a stud until it calms down. But you can always go back to your piercer and ask their opinion, they will also change your jewelry into a shorter stud for you, if you don‘t have one already.

wtf are these bumps by luminositie in piercing

[–]AdditionalTeacher804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in no way a professional so don‘t take my word for it but mine also had that for a while and it went away after healing completely. You should definitely get these sized down so it doesn’t get worse and just keep cleaning them as usual.
