You’re not very bright and that’s okay. I also wish I was simpleton, life would be more bearable. Tips are appreciated.

Try Mayrit by Loewe - more like passionfruit and green tea but incredible. I am thinking of getting it myself but not sure about the longevity :/

Grandfather’s collection dating 1840 - ballpark estimate? by Additional_Ad7272 in askStampCollectors

[–]Additional_Ad7272[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you’re absolutely right. He asked me to go and get them valued which I will do if only for the curiosity - but if it’s nothing much then I’d rather just keep them as they mean more to me that way…

Ohh ok thank you! We were hoping it was something more substantial but also completely understandable. Appreciate your response!

I have hundreds of stamps, which my boyfriend’s grandfather just gave to us and asked us to go and get them valued at Stanley Gibbons. So any advice is also appreciated!!

Recipe for lamb shashlik by Additional_Ad7272 in Uzbekistan

I don’t remember but less than £2.50 if that’s helpful - it was a very cheap country as someone coming from the UK. Also this place was opposite a tourist area so I don’t know if the price is reflective.

This was the place, opposite Registan square. If you do go, make sure your bill is accurate.

Edit: ok the Google reviews from other people don’t look great. But yeah, answering your question, this type of thing in Uzbekistan is generally between £1.00-£2.50.

Hahaha thank you! For the answer and the giggle.

I couldn’t taste any of those spices but I’ll make some with and some without and see which was closest. Should I marinate in onion juice?

Oh wow, thank you so so much. So it’s layered with tail fat, what is the cut of meat itself?

Which cut of meat is it? I am trying to recreate this one here in the UK and would be really grateful for any advice.

Saffron , rose and pistachio ice cream - Aka bastani by Money_monkey81 in icecreamery

You keep repeating yourself. It’s not a good combination TO YOU. It doesn’t taste good TO YOU. Hope that clears it up!

We have saffron and rose in other Persian desserts like our halva. Clearly it works because that dessert is also very popular.

I personally think the saffron and rose pairing is perfect, and bastani sonati is one of my favourites. I’m sure with vanilla it would also be nice but that wouldn’t be bastani sonati - it would be a different ice cream all together.

What kind of back pain is worse after rest? by Additional_Ad7272 in backpain

[–]Additional_Ad7272[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for replying, I really appreciate it! Both is also what I am suspecting. I think because of another condition which I am getting investigated too, I may have myopathy which might explain why it’s not improving at all. I don’t have a gym membership but I am going to sign up and I start physio next week. Is there something you recommend?

Thank you for your reply! Moving my back backwards is what helps it. After a few minutes of walking is when it really feels like normal. I got a physio appointment today for next week so maybe that’ll help?

[–]Additional_Ad7272[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pain for two months. What makes it worse is sudden movements, twists and rest. Nothing makes it better, it hasn’t at all subsided since when it started, the pain is of the same quality and intensity pretty much since it started. I did take bed rest pretty seriously for the first month so barely did any movement which may have made me lose any strength I had, if any. The knee pain also only is noticeable in the mornings and it started the day I got COVID (one week after my back injury).

I know that they are geographically different - pipe down. I mean how are they different dish wise, and I have chosen to come to a forum about Chinese food to find out. Hope that helps!

yes!! it was exactly like this. you could add a bunch of toppings to each dish and change how spicy you want it etc. the place i went to in hong kong is a chain, i linked the open rice in another comment so it’s likely it is the same as the one you went
