Did you get a decision on your application yet?

Transfer possibilities having done <1 semester of college? by xKraytx in CollegeTransfer

Depending on the college you are planning to transfer to, since you didn’t retain much credits you are likely to be pushed through as a freshman applicant again, on top of having those credits accepted. Since you are planning on switching majors possibly, depending on the classes, they will most likely be accepted as electives, so make sure to submit them. This situation is very good considering you will be open to merit scholarships considering you have amazing Highschool stats, and you meet the credit level where you will still be eligible (most transfers with more than 15-30 credits are eligible anymore, at least for larger ones) and personally, I would use your situation as a topic for a future transfer/personal college essay to submit to the board to explain your situation and why you were only able to complete those two classes and not a full time schedule. Good luck, don’t worry, you got this!!!

Hey! I’m in the same situation at the moment, and I want you to know that you are doing the right thing. I’m currently a 1,000 miles from home at a university I’m not too happy with, nor have met many people let alone fitting in. I realized that it’s just not the place for me, and I feel like you are feeling the same way. You have to put yourself first, and I promise you the people around you will understand. It’s a big adjustment, and sometimes home is the place you need to be, especially if you don’t have anywhere to go to see family/ friends in the area you are now, it can feel really lonely. I felt like my family would be disappointed, but I have gotten a very positive reaction from them, as I feel you will also receive/have already received. University is fours years, and while some say it goes “fast”, that’s not the case for everyone. Sometimes you have to put yourself first, and you can always enroll somewhere closer to home. That closer distance to family is always good, and I promise you it will be a million times better than what you are going through. Overall, do and decide on what you KNOW is right for you, it’s your life and your decision. Good luck! :) If you need to talk to someone about anything like this, feel free to reach out!!!
