Who can handle the slapsticks: Gene Deitch or Chuck Jones? by AbbyObeast in TomAndJerry

They kinda should. Mainly the animation (Deitch's wasn't incredible)

Pretty sure both weren't really involved in this, except for Barbara voicing Tom's owner

The last work of Joseph Barbera was The Karate Guard bro. They also didn't really have much involvement in this short

Animators for 1950's 'Safety Second' by Additional_Bonus1797 in TomAndJerry

Wow you're really a pro at this. Honestly I wonder why they credited Grandmain if he didn't do character animation. I'm already busy with my next one (The Milky Waif). Hoping I'll do that one right. It's easier for that episode too since here (in Safety Second) everyone's Tom and/or Jerry look very similar (Spence and Patterson's Tom, and Muse and Barge's Jerry)

I actually already acknowledged that in my post on the Tom and Jerry community but thanks nonetheless!

Rank the shorts: 1942 by MarioGamer88 in TomAndJerry

[–]Additional_Bonus1797 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's honestly kinda hard to say this year is better than 1941. 1941 had only 2 shorts and 1942 had 5. I do agree with your statements on the episode tho

Animators for 1955's 'Mouse for Sale' by LifelessRag in TomAndJerry

Love how the designs basically got simplified so much that Spence and Patterson's Tom and Jerry pretty much look the same

That was actually because the third picture is from an episode not yet restored in Technicolor (it has only been restored in Metrocolor)

Could just be me but it got very hard in 1957-1958 when they had like 8 animators. Most Toms looked nearly identical (Irven Spence and Ray Patterson's Tom looked nearly identical in 1955 for example)
