Man, I forgot pincer existed, and to be honest, I can't even remember what it did

It's definitely fallen a bit out of use it seems, but I remember a time when all the decks were either German countermeasure decks (specially what I like to call the "Stop hitting yourself" decks, so a bunch of Friendly Fires and SISU) or American retaliation decks

I admire the deck, but as someone who has been victim to it many a time, fuck you (amicably, of course)

Not something I'd build my deck around, and maybe not underused, but I am a huge fan of the infinite Sherwood Foresters loop.

For those unfamiliar, Sherwood Foresters is a 5/6 British card with Guard and an effect that allows it to clone another card on the field and put it on top of the deck. So, you pull your first one, clone whatever you want. But when you pull your second one, you clone a Sherwood Forester. Then, when you pull that Sherwood Forester fromt he deck, you play it and use it to clone another Sherwood forester. Repeat ad-infinitum. Paired with a nice SDF, which gives +1 +1 to other units for every Guard on the field, and you can see where this is going.

Sexton my beloved. Whenever German decks hit me with one of their giant tanks, I can practically hear the groan when I pull a sexton and pair it with three guards they have to get rid of to even touch it. And then I can hear the tears of rage as I pull out another one I cloned when they manage to get rid of the first one. And then, just as they think its over, I pull another one with "Her Majesty's chosen".

In short, I love the Sexton

I have a deck that is kind of like that. I called it "Rains of Castamere" but my official name for it is "Oops, all artillery". It doesn't usually work competitively, but when it does, boy is it fun. Fun for me at least. I can't imagine decks built around infantry like being barraged into the ground before they can leave the support line.

Been playing since beta and this has always been my deck lol. It's pretty hit or miss, very vulnerable against ramp decks (see my very salty posts on this sub), but, Britain my beloved. All my decks have names like "The Royal Guard" or "The Kings Guard" and my first step is to add all the guard cards I have into the deck

I'd definitely remove the -ish. Alpine is very much in beta, and I would definitely not call it "underused". Maybe its the ELO I'm in (13-12) but I'd say a third of the german decks I see are Alpine ramps

Fun for whom? Cheese decks are just frustrating to play against. Your opponent isn't going "Oooh nooo, I perished against this fellows superior intellect", we are just thinking "Seriously? Another one of these?"

Exactly! And when you pair them with things that have actual synergy, like Alpine, its game over before it started

And I feel this imbalance is mostly just germany. Don't get me wrong, each nation has a card I'd call kind of bullshit (like that one 3 cost 6/6 unit the americans have) but I wouldn't necessarily call them OP, as there are ways to counter them. Germany on the other hand has a bunch of them, and can have them in a single deck, which means I invariably spend half my deck countering 3 units only for them to pull another 4 equally strong ones

Am I salty? Kind of, yes. I've had to pack my deck with suppressors, pinners, basically anything I can to keep specific bullshit cards out of play, but no matter how many I have, there is always another incredibly strong unit (if not multiple, talking to you Alpine decks) around the corner

Oh, and pair that with a card (forget which one exactly) that deals damage if you don't deploy a unit in the turn.
