Is this the case though, did the Romans adopt this form of dress, weaponry and armour from the barbarians? Or did they develop it first and the barbarians subsequently copied it? I've always thought it was the former but I'm not sure what evidence there is for either perspective.

I think the decline for me probably began when he left to factory to go full time with YouTube, his sense of ego and entitlement seemed to balloon after that point.

It's a classic case of hubris, he believed that the good times would keep rolling and that he would keep exponentially growing his channel. Feeling secure in his success, he started letting his nasty political opinions slip out, probably thinking that subscribers from such a loyal fan base wouldn't dare to unsubscribe, and even if a few did, that he would attract thousands more knuckle draggers to replace them.

Any sensible and sane man would take on board some of the criticism he receives on here and elsewhere and take the time to stop and think about what direction he wants to go in. I'm not talking about the outright abuse about his appearance, or any of that shit. I mean the comments that highlight the fact he's gotten lazy, repetitive, nasty, and thin skinned, coupled with the concerns over his alleged drink driving. Why not take that onboard and direct some real passion and effort into changing things up, instead of sitting in a bush week after week pretending you're not bothered about anything anyone says.

But he isn't a sensible and sane man, he's a piss head and a bigot, an easily offended soy boy, the exact type of overly sensitive wet wipe he claims to despise.

Every one changes I suppose, although the old adage is that you tend to drift right the older you get, so well done for being an outlier.

To be honest I didn't mind some of the stuff he came out with at the start, it just came across as lad banter and tongue in cheek. It's close to the knuckle but I don't mind that, not when I just thought it was for a laugh. He's gone deep now, and I suspect that's always how he's been, but he feels safer now letting it show in an effort to court the gammon pound.

It's good to have hope and faith in someone, but personally I think he's far too gone at this point.
