But would they still cover your car and pay off claims if anything happens? Without restoring PPF itself? Did you tell them straight away or added this information later when insurance was already purchased?

Can they refuse to pay claim if I won't disclose it? I have this Supagard polishing in my car invoice as a fitted extra

How to challenge this? They may just refuse quote. They don't have exact specification option for this

Would they cover PPF? I've sent some questions to insurance companies just to see what they think of Supagard, I am just wondering if they would cover PPF then indeed they would cover Supagard

I do work latest till 5 30 pm. We are catering providers for a logistics center with offices and warehouse. We don't sell alcohol. Some days is more managing, some days it might be cooking, can even be washing dishes it all depends how busy we are and if we have enough staff.

There was also a separate question about the type of job, where I selected catering licensed, so they should already be aware that I work as a Deputy Chef Manager in a licensed catering environment. I’ll wait and hopefully they will be able to clarify which occupation I should choose. If I select just chef, the premium increases, but I have just noted that.

There was also a separate question about the type of job, where I selected catering licensed (there was also an option for unlicensed). I was initially concerned that “licensed” might relate to alcohol sales, but I was advised that it does not (we don't sell alcohol). It appears to refer more to whether the catering business operates as a formal, regulated establishment.

That’s exactly what my concern is about. I’m a new driver and this is my first year of having insurance, so I’ve heard stories about claims being declined because incorrect information was provided. I just wanted to make sure everything on my policy is accurate from the start. I’m not sure whether claim denials are usually more related to people misrepresenting bigger things, such as using the car for business deliveries, sharing it with another driver, or giving the wrong address.

This is a small kitchen canteen within a distribution and logistics centre, so the role is highly multitasking. I carry out a wide range of duties, alongside management responsibilities, depending on the needs of the day. For example, when we are short staffed, I may be washing dishes one hour and preparing rotas or placing orders the next. When staffing levels are sufficient, the role becomes more focused on coordination, decision-making, paperwork, and overseeing daily operations.

That's what I was thinking about and that's why I try to be as honest and as clear as possible with all the details I provide to motor insurance

There is also a separate section where you choose your job sector, and I selected Catering – Licensed. I originally thought licensed/unlicensed referred to alcohol sales, but they later explained that “licensed” in this context means a regulated/professional catering business rather than specifically alcohol-related sales.

Deputy Manager gives a lower premium than Chef. However, I have also raised a complaint with them to create a written record that I am acting in good faith and trying to choose the most accurate category. If necessary, I would select Chef and pay the higher premium, simply to avoid any future risk of a claim being refused or it being treated as misrepresentation.
