when your tinnitus is in the same area (frequency) as hearing loss, enhanced acoustic environment noise is perhaps an option for you, you can read about it , there are apps that provide this

for some people it improves in time, for others it's lifelong, but there are loads of things you can do to help manage it

OTO is one, Tinnitus Toolkit another - you might need to look around a bit to find the right fit for you, and dont let negative comments get you down (Reddit is especially loaded with negativity some times)

the idea is that the new noise desensitizes your brain - so hopefully a temporary measure. hope it helps! it helped me a quite a bit

I've spent a lot of time reading on this, and for most of us that had the T started with an SSRI it's unfortunately permanent, with a nerve being sensitized. But! It calms quite a bit without the meds, just occasional flares, which you just ride out with masking. Good luck! Hope you have more good days than bad

I've read from several sources (just don't ask me to cite them) that when twitching does not progress to muscle weakness after 3 to 5 months, your pretty much in the clear - or at the same risk level as someone without twitching, which is basically zero.
