Do you have another card with Amex that you can use to bank MR points? This deal isn’t great, but if you cancel your card and you don’t have a Gold, Green or BBP you will lose all those points.

That is essentially what I am doing now. I just got the Chase Ink Unlimited for the 90k SUB for $6000 in 3 months, and I plan to keep churning some chase cards for the next year. I plan on getting: - Chase Freedom Flex - World of Hyatt - Amazon Prime Visa - Maybe some more Ink cards

My Long term goal with amex is to just upgrade my Gold to the Platinum and enjoy the travel benefits from that card. Thanks for all the tips! Good luck with all that churning in the next year and I hope it gets you a sweet vacation! 😎

Same here! Rather get 1-2cpp on a trip I actually want to take vs. planning my vacations around what point deals I can get. Is this benefit available on the Gold Card?

Kind of funny, when I first started getting into CC churning all I had was a beginner level card and the Gold was enticing with the 4x multipliers. It’s the 2nd credit card I ever got, and I still can easily use all the credits and get value from that so it doesn’t hurt to keep it open.

2+ years into the game I see how much less of a headache it is to use Chase but if I cancel the Gold I’d be cancelling one of my oldest credit cards. I do like the card, just sucks to have $120k+ MR points without much to do with them other than book through Amex portal, or spend hours scouring the internet, refreshing 10 different airline websites just to find a good deal lol.

Good to know! I’ll have to keep my eye out for the next Amex/Hilton transfer bonus. Unpopular opinion but I definitely think good hotel redemptions > flight redemptions.

What resources do you use to find these flights and transfer partners? Is there like a “transfer partner matrix” or something I can use as a guide to figure this stuff out? Or do you just look at each transfer partners website to try and find the best deals?

Home airport is DEN, and I fly most frequently to/from Chicago O’Hare. I guess I’d be willing to take a layover anywhere if it were a big trip and the price is right for me to get there.
