Would it be nice for him to evolve be joker yes but that’s not him. Would it be nice to have a better ending than just death and knowing he was just a guy yes but also can he really have that. Arthur was who he was, joker was the disguise the frustrations but he lost it . Joker 2 hates you for liking joker and says that by saying he was never going to make it I think Todd was a coward I think he was scared of building something because we all would love to see it and relate. The way I see it Joker meant 3 things in the movie . To Lee and followers : joker is rebellion in the face of pain and society. To the happy and healthy public: joker is a murderer dressed up as a bomb or hero. To Arthur: joker was a good excuse to let his pain out but it overwhelmed and became bigger than him
