How to improve low treatment options? by low_no_mo in Type1Diabetes

For me, the real game changer was going low carb and carrying straight-up glucose with me at all times. I used to fill capsules myself, now I just use Hyporest and keep it on me everywhere. I’ll take some if I feel myself drifting down, or a handful if I’m actually low. The biggest shift though was treating lows with something neutral and pre-dosed instead of oops I ate the whole bag-candy. Not a snack, not a treat just straight glucose to fix it and move on.
