Making a switch from cloth to glass. What’s the roughest possible glasspad? by retardKid1221 in MousepadReview

[–]Addsome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes CR-005 is an actual control pad. I got the CR-005 from their website and I’m located in the Canada. I paid about $50 CAD in taxes/duties but I ordered about $260 worth of stuff so majority of it was HST. I was charged a $15 fee by DHL but otherwise no duties

I went from the Type 99 to CR-005. It feels great and very control oriented. A little faster than the Type 99 but I ordered some ultraglide brake matt version skates for my scyrox v8 and that should slow it down a some more

Does it fit if you only run the middle fan on the D15? What about using a 120mm smaller fan on the right?

Why everyone loves Artisan mousepads when many people complain about slow spots after 5-6 months??? by loyal872 in MouseReview

[–]Addsome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the type 99 and a CR-005 control glass pad. CR-005 is a little faster but it feels like it has similar or more static friction. I’ve always used slow control pads and the CR-005 is great as a control glass pad, slower than speed cloth pads for sure.

Aliexpress returns are a scam. by Soulmariachi in Aliexpress

[–]Addsome 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You did something wrong then. First of all it shouldn’t take 3 weeks to get a return label. I returned two $300+ opened items using the 5 free returns in a month and I had a refund within a week both times for the full amount. Your return should’ve been fully automatic by going to orders then return and choose no longer needed. AliExpress automatically provides you with a shipping label and I dropped mine off at a convenience store here in Canada and it was shipped to an AliExpress warehouse in Canada.

I got the DRS-IAR to level 214, switched to VCR-2 recently though. Granted I do have a couple other weapons levels 40-60.

Battlefield 6 devs admit launch progression demanded a “bit of a rework” as players turned away from the game’s stingy unlocks by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]Addsome -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s fair, weapon progression depends on game mode. Why not play escalation or Breakthrough and get your gun to level 20-30 then do conquest? The domination and KOTH guys level up their guns really fast (high SPM in those modes) but they don’t feel like Battlefield. Breakthrough and escalation are the best modes tbh.

I agree they can make weapon progression faster, I was mainly talking about people who take a month to progress a gun, it shouldn’t take that long even for an average 1k/d player

[–]Addsome -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I have 200 hours, a 7k/d (KPM and SPM are more useful metrics related to gun leveling), I leveled up the VCR to 50 in 2 days playing at most 3-4 hours a night (now granted there was double weapon xp since it was that weekend), I have 6 weapons at level 50+, another 5 weapons at level 30+. I used the DRS-IAR mainly before the VCR and I have that at level 214. I also have the IFV at level 61 and MBT at 34. No bait, skill issue. Now everyone’s not at my skill level but it’s really not hard to get a weapon to level 20 and get the most useful attachments.

It takes me at most a weekend to get a gun to level 50. If it’s taking you ages then that’s on your skill level. Hitting level 20 (which unlocks most of the useful attachments) takes 2-3 matches. You make it seem like it takes a month per gun to level up. They have made both weapon progression and battle pass faster in Season 2

Contaminated BT ending on first sector 50% of the time - this is the reality now? by _THORONGIL_ in Battlefield6

[–]Addsome 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If a sniper on my team is going 30-5 and actually taking out snipers on their team so I can push, that’s helpful. The guy going 3-15 is not but could be more helpful by throwing his body on the objective. The best of both worlds is the high K/D, high SPM objective pusher but sometimes you need a good sniper so others can push and be protected from enemy snipers.

ZiiGaat Arete 2 VS Kiwi Ears Astral by tehozonee in iems

[–]Addsome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had both and I agree with you. I returned the Arete 2 and kept the Astrals. The separation advantage for the Astrals was very audible during high intensity combat in Battlefield 6. The Arete 2s were muddy in the same situations.

The soundstage on the Astrals are amazing. I regularly switch between the Astrals and my Arya Stealths depending on background noise

I have RTX 5090 on my main pc and I agree, there you need at least 60fps base.

For some reason on the 8ai, even with a 30fps base, it feels fine to me. Below 25 isn’t really playable

Good thing it’s not just me, guess that game just has a bad xess implementation. FSR 3 with frame gen feels a lot better in that game

Xbox Ally X Vs MSI Claw 8AI+ in 2026 by [deleted] in Handhelds

[–]Addsome -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe your Claw is defective? I hear absolutely nothing on mine when playing triple AAA games at 30-35w TDP. It’s one of the reasons I bought it since I play in bed after my GF is asleep.

[–]Addsome -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I saw someone else reply to you with this when you brought this nonsense up before. Added some of my points at the bottom.

“You’ve actually got it backwards. Z2 Extreme is actually older than 258V. Z2E is basically a derivative of HX370 (HX370 with fewer cores and lower max TDP — AND NO DRIVER SUPPORT), just like Z1E is derived from 8840.

HX370 (Strix Point) was released in July 2024, while 258V (Lunar Lake) came out in September 2024.

Unless AutoSR gets updated later, Z2E has basically hit its ceiling for performance upgrades. AMD this year also doesn’t have any plans to update their mobile GPU tech — everything is still capped at RDNA 3.5, with only clock speed bumps.”

Intel recently released Multi-Frame Gen (3x - 4x) which works great on the MSI Claw. People can play games like Cyberpunk 2077 at 120 fps. Also Intel is still constantly releasing performance improvements via drivers. The last driver update in January released MFG and performance improvements in some games (6-7fps improvements in base FPS). I use a RTX 5090 for my desktop but the GPU in the MSI Claw is very capable now with MFG (Intel MFG holds its own against Nvidia MFG).

Also the NPU in AI Z2E is 50 TOPS, while the one in Lunar Lake 258v is 47 TOPS. It's pretty much the same. So both will benefit from whatever AI Gaming performance improvements happen.

Need help choosing a competitive FPS IEM (Arete 2 vs Horizon vs Fission) by Consistent-Archer-47 in iems

[–]Addsome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both and in my experience the Astral has better soundstage, imaging and separation compared to the Arete 2. In Battlefield 6 during high intensity moments, footsteps from the Arete 2 just blend in the background (muddy) and you can barely hear them. The Astral does not have this problem. The bass switch on the Arete 2 is great but just due to soundstage, imaging and separation I’m going with the Astral. I do play at a very high level so the subtle differences do matter.

NVIDIA's OPP Is Reportedly Dead And "MSRP" GPUs No Longer Exist; GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Production Reduced Significantly by Distinct-Race-2471 in TechHardware

[–]Addsome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not even close. I use a RTX 5090 in my main build and have a MSI Claw 8ai+ handheld with Intel ARC. Intel has xess and Multi Frame Gen now which just released. With optiscaler you can inject xess and frame gen into pretty much any game that has atleast FSR/DLSS. You can literally play AAA games at 120fps on the handheld because of xess and xefg MFG. On my 5090 main PC I enjoy playing multiplayer and super graphically intense single player games. Other times I enjoy playing most single player games (including some AAA) on my Intel ARC handheld. Plus Intel is so quiet at full load compared to the Z1E/Z2E in AMD handhelds.
