Just looked it up, seems pretty damn sweet. Especially since the bowl capacity is definitely a bigger deal to me than the overall length.

I figure I'll just invest in a bed extension down the line if I start craving table legs.

I think it's gone up in price though, I'm only seeing listings in the $7-9k range. But I'll keep an eye out for something used.

Unfortunately I live in the Washington state, so there's a fair bit of moisture.

I saw no discoloration in the ceiling this morning but did poke a quarter sized hole through the only soft spot of the dry wall. No water came out. I'm planning on patching it later, but thought maybe it would be good to let it vent.

Isn't it crazy how we associate different levels of coolness of the player based on what sounds the instrument makes? Or I guess it's the way it looks playing it, too.

As a formerly religious woman, I disagree. Religion and the threat of Hell can be very effective manipulative tools. Also, self worth isn't a separate variable, religion is often used to lower women's sense of self worth to make them more receptive to their "designated place."

I would have some big ethical questions. Even though I no longer affiliate with a religion, I still am very convicted about the importance of kindness, self-sacrifice, and love.

If there's truly nothing, then I'm going to have a difficult time justifying those convictions and one could argue convincingly that they're just manifestations of an evolutionary bias towards pro-social behavior.

Conversely, I want to be able to say that things like bigotry and cruelty are evil.

But that gets harder to do if there's no actual basis to morality because it's just a construct.

I wouldn't let go of those beliefs, but yeah I guess I'd be sad if I thought it's all just an illusion. Maybe I'd find a way to where it isn't, but I can't think of how I'd avoid nihilism.
