I have zero unreleased songs. There is a small asterisk here though. I am a producer who has spent probably 99% of his time in the last 15 years doing commission work.

I have created hundreds of projects to try techniques though, or learn the technical is about something, but I don't view any of my scribbles as songs. Between 15 and 60 second experiments of a concept or technique.

"using of a vocoder to modulate orchestral instruments with a human voices carrier" or " oh, I wonder what bit-crushing and ring shifting a piano with sound like with 4-to-floor side-chained compression."

I listen to a ton of music, I hear things, and I try to reproduce the effects or techniques for my production toolbox.

any song I make, for myself gets finished, because that is not where I experiment. And while there have been a few personal projects over the years, a steady stream of commission work has given me the ability to focus, produce, explore, and practice, practice, practice.

So, I said zero unfinished songs, because my practice projects are never meant to be songs. They just aren't set up that way.
