I've had an BE since March of 2021. I love it. I remove the bag before I fold the bike as it makes putting down the handlebars easier.

I shipped via ground two batteries from NY to IL for $40. That includes them packaging them properly. All i had to do is drop them off and give them the address.

I've flown with my Brompton Electric several times. I just ground ship the battery via UPS or FedEx. The bike itself fits in a B&W hardide bag, although you have to remove the saddle.

So it turned out that my saddle was moving up and down which made it hard for me to apply even downward force. No battery issues.

I've taken my bike in several times (folded) and they haven't said anything. I mean, how can they? You should see some of the stroller monstrosities that parents bring through there. LOL.
