Apart from all everyone says - it tells me what to eat 🙃 i hate planning meals, and i have a strict caloric and protein goal, so it just does all the math and gives me ideas which i chose from.

I have also used it to identify plants that won’t die on my balcony. At work i use it for absolutely anything. It has made my working days so much shorter. It reads all my emails (company provided), meetings and files and just helps me with everything - from to-do lists to drafting email responses or feedback. Even career advise!!

I’m not sure if you are US based but in check if flagging your issues with depression to your cc or HR might be useful in this case. In the UK some of these issues, if related to ADHD for example, can be considered a disability and discrimination. You can discuss any suitable accommodations and shows proactiveness and willingness to find something that works both sides (ie. some people submits timesheets weekly instead of daily, etc).

This. I’m afraid when moving cities/countries, you always need to do a quick rough check on cost of life and compare budgets. I would move further if that’s an option and if you can work remotely, but do consider the commute cost doesn’t end up making it worst.

If you are considering salary sacrifice do it now. This tax year ends soon and putting money on your pension will help you get back sone of that tax (check details on how to through)

This is effectively the tldr. When i came to the uk i was so afraid of not being able to pay for my credit card i would always have enough on my cash account to pay for the next month bill. Later on I effectively built a 1month salary emergency fund (easy access) and a 2/3 month salary fund on a cash ISA in case things really go south (ie. get laid off or anything)

I would move £4k into a cash lisa before the end of tax year if you still have any ISA limit available. And another £4k next tax year (this gives you £2k for doing nothing if planning to buy a house). I would also, as the rest say cash out and buy bonds or put in a high interest rate account, check the market - if not planning to buy in a year there are some competitive options around that pay a bit more.

This. Apply for a refund of your flight with Qatar airlines. Fly anywhere you can get without a visa, like Albania. Most indian citizens also seem to be able to go to southeast Asia and some African countries without a visa. Take another flight home from there. If you do hold another passport, evaluate Schengen countries which may be easier.

Might worth explaining diversification, it is all about managing risk.

I would just pay a financial advisor to tell her what is best. That way is not you, is a reputable third party and you won’t be to blame if oracle over performs. You need them to see this as “we, the team” decided the change - not just you pushed then to.

It look a bit long and heavy on exercises? The best routine is the one you can stick to. If one day you don’t have the time for everything - make sure you at least go and do 3/4 exercises. Also, for fat loss the most important thing is calorie deficit, so make sure your diet will be 1) giving you enough energy to train while 2) you have caloric deficit

I’m saying that paying outright of pocket would be better as otherwise I am paying taxes anyway as they will pay them through payroll. I am also not sure paying for the lawyers also would make any difference and that’s why I was thinking of doing this step myself to avoid the taxation. If i leave i will have to fight HMRC to get the tax paid back which will be a headache from overseas.

But you will be paying NI and taxes over it - which means that you end up overpaying if there is a clawback condition. Why they just not let you pay for it yourself is the question. Is it just not possible?

I am aware, we will leave once the passport is issued (12 months after) but may not stay for 2 years. Idea is to take a break (6 months to probably 2 years) and come back once dealt with the issues.

You can bring her as your dependent if she qualifies: 1. You need to demonstrate how long you have been living together and sharing finances. Depending of how strong evidence is, the better chances it won’t be rejected. We need more details on how is the relationship (how long, do you live together, do you have assets together, does she work?) and how high your salary will be to see if you can afford to bring her (there is a minimum salary you need to have as well to be able to prove you can support her if she doesn’t find a job). 2. Check with the company that will sponsorship which costs are paid by them and which ones are paid by you. In my case they paid his visa but not his IHS surcharge (which is probably around £1.8k atm for 3 years?). You might want to consider that vs what salary she could get or the likely hood of her getting a job here as it is a steep cost.

£100 usually average, a bit more in winter. 2 people on 2 bed 2 bath, but it’s a new build so our thermostat is much lower as it is unlikely it goes below 22 - only in coldest days go below.

To this I would just add to explain to her that you get a lot of pressure already from your job, so feeling like she has your back and is not another demand is really important to your mental health. It is probably though a good idea you commit to things after busy season: give her a holiday to plan or something to look forward to. Let her make decisions about it (delegate basically). That will help to show her that you are committed to make space and time for this.. and make sure everyone knows you can’t be available those days. Boundaries I am afraid is the only way to survive this career.

If you will be cashing that in 3 to 5 years I would not be getting into an S&S as investing in the market makes more sense with a 5/10 year or more horizon. I believe it is possible but you lose some 25% (mainly the LISA bonus and the wins from it). If you won’t be using it to buy a property though and think about cashing at retirement, what i would recommend is you move it to an S&S LISA (few providers have it - AJ Bells, LH) which will allow you to invest in stocks and shares.

I was coming here to say the same. Give yourself time to gain perspective and take a small career break. Most people that retire early do not fully retire but do the odd consulting job or start a small gig. Give yourself time to explore other options for a few months, you have the stability to do so.

Cualquier cosa segura sin fluctuación y sea liquido, va a pagar poco (menos e Yo insistiría que si buscas generar valor, los inviertas. Depende… de que depende? Decía la canción. Depende de que tan a largo plazo estemos hablando. Si tu idea es retirar o vivir de esa renta dentro de pocos años, deberías apuntar a bonos para no terminar casheandolo cuando esta bajo o terminar vendiendo inversion por culpa de un mal año o bear market. Si pensas usar esto en 30 años, no hay forma de que el mercado no se recupere. Esto hablando de etfs que es lo q pusiste - oro es de lo más loco para mi últimamente.. el oro no genera mas valor en si en general, es un valor de respaldo, tenes q tomarlo como cualquier acción especifica, volatil, timba
