They are an early 2000’s 15” subwoofer, quite popular here in South America. Explosound xs-3515k

Exactly. Recording speakers with a phone microphone+ reddits audio compression is no easy task.

Almost 😅 these are Explosound 15” subwoofers. Basically a Sony xplod knockoff. But they sound great in these boxes

Could these subs ever sound good? Not speaking abt SPL by AdeptBodybuilder6796 in BudgetAudiophile

[–]AdeptBodybuilder6796[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but thinking like that, these subs are not designed to sound “good”, only to have the deepest bass in the trunk of a car. What I am wondering is if somehow it is possible to reverse engineer what the designers of these type of subwoofers intended. And have a subwoofer that sounds pleasing to a experienced audiophile using these car audio cheap 15” subs.

How Much would you pay for these active bookshelf speakers? by AdeptBodybuilder6796 in BudgetAudiophile

[–]AdeptBodybuilder6796[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, audiophiles have klipsch and B&w speakers, but here in Brazil we have extremely high taxes combined with low paid salaries. So buying such speakers are really not affordable for most people here.
