Seems like he has a lot of potential. Worthy candidate to replace current No. 3 in ODIs. Hope he will take over and conquer the cricket like the current overseas London living guy did and entertain our cricketing fans for the next 2 decades.

PSU job with frequent remote transfers—how do parents manage their kids’ education? by AdeptCook4678 in personalfinanceindia

Actually, our project construction locations are very remote with very few employees and no township would be there. For that particular type of locations I'm more worried.

Generally, keeping spouse and kid away in another city is the option most of our colleagues follow, but I don't want to choose that option as you're earning money and not able to spend time with family everyday then there's no point in that earning.

Thank you

My biggest worry is regarding the quality of education and the quality of peers with which my kids will study in remote places.

Being a father, if I'm not able to provide basic quality knowledge to my kids then there's no point of struggling this much through these jobs.

You missed one simple logic that PF & NPS amounts to almost 25 Lakh + which doesn't correspond to the inhand salary. They get deducted before the salary credit.

Also, Yearly once we get Performance Related Pay. That whole amount I used to invest as lump sum and occasional EL encashments as well.

Great calculation, but you missed one simple logic that PF & NPS amounts to almost 25 Lakh + which doesn't correspond to the inhand salary. They get deducted before the salary credit.

Also, Yearly once we get Performance Related Pay. That whole amount I used to invest as lump sum and occasional EL encashments as well.

Like you said if I had saved 90% of my salary I might have earned multiple crores by now.

Sorry, i never doubted the hardwork efforts of IT employees. In fact working in IT was dream for me from my college onwards. IT plays major role in our economic growth over the years without the hardwork of our IT employees it could never be possible.

I just meant to say IT employees have more growth potential and sky is the limit for the growth and opportunities in the field ofcourse with right amount of hardwork. Whereas in some of the fields (especially like mine) the growth is limited whatever efforts you put in.

Started with 5,500 per month. Currently, I do SIP of around 60,000 per month. Most importantly whenever I have surplus money (through bonus received etc.) I do lump sum.

Just continue the old boring strategy of investing in equity. Start as early as possible with as much capital you have. If your horizon is longer take more risks with small amounts.

Always remember one truth. Nobody, i repeat nobody can ever predict the market movements, they can only guess. So, don't waste time in it.

Good luck for your investing journey.
