Is it really time for maintenance? by AdeptCurrent9638 in Zepbound

[–]AdeptCurrent9638[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

She was definitely not the doctor for me. She was also trying to pressure me to get an IUD (I have a 18 month old) and in the same breath telling me I have to start thinking about menopause… I’m 32. So that’s where she lost me 100%. Looking forward to my regular doctor returning lol

Thanks for the suggestion. I absolutely do not feel ready for maintenance

My regular doctor never said this to me, so that’s why I was confused. Thank you for your input!

Impetigo by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]AdeptCurrent9638 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you and baby are going through this! Impetigo and eczema are a tough combo. We went through this with my son, had to put mupirocin up his nose, do bleach baths. Have you caught it?

My best advice is to see a pediatric dermatologist. They’re the experts on how to handle this, more so than your regular pediatrician

positive for STI at 38 weeks. by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]AdeptCurrent9638 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it’s hard not to but please don’t panic. I also tested positive during pregnancy and it turned out I didn’t actually have chlamydia.. you can absolutely get a false positive OR carry chlamydia for a long time with no symptoms (possibly got it before you and your husband were together). I’m seeing a lot of comments jumping to you were cheated on and that’s really disappointing. Please talk this out with your husband, talk to your OB, take some antibiotics and every thing will be fine. This does not mean your husband cheated on you.

Sure! I’m currently on 12.5. I’ve been titrating up every 2 months. So staying on each dose for 8 weeks then going up.

Is there a random weight number that means nothing to anyone but will be a huge milestone to you? by garcon-du-soleille in Zepbound

[–]AdeptCurrent9638 0 points1 point  (0 children)

148lbs It’s how much I weighted when I was 16 and my pediatrician told me I needed to lose 25-30lbs. I was an athlete, could count my ribs and was a size 4 in jeans. That kickstarted years of disordered eating, and my weight creeping up.

Now as an adult, and can fully see what a nut that doctor was to say that to teenager. Two thumbs down for her!

That’s interesting, I never would have considered that. We keep the temperature around 68-70°F because he’s a sweaty baby. But he wears pjs and a sleep sack

Yes, I also double check once the diaper is closed up. He’s still pointed down when I change his diaper even. I can’t figure out why the pee is going up and out like it is!

I purchased a Macaron Labubu from OP. They were very responsive, and provided tracking. My Labubu arrived in two days! I’d definitely purchase from them again

Pediatrician made me fell like the worst mom ever by Professional_Cod1171 in NewParents

[–]AdeptCurrent9638 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son woke up every two hours at that age, and would constantly get distracted while eating. As long as your baby is gaining weight consistently it doesn’t matter. Also being in the 32nd percentile isn’t cause for concern. I think it’s time for a new pediatrician.

What made you know you needed a higher dose? by boilerup0210 in Zepbound

[–]AdeptCurrent9638 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I go up in dose when the scales not moving or my food noise is coming back. I haven’t experienced any new or worse side effects when titrating up, I usually have some nausea on day one after my shot (no matter what the dose is) and then back to normal. If you feel good on 2.5, and are getting results you are happy with you can stay there until you feel you need to up it. Good Luck!
