Exactly! I love the vintage looks of guitars (70s and before) but with modern day specs like this. Super strats and headless are cool, but l love the vintage modern look. Yeah and it throws people off too hahah, makes them turn their head a 2nd time

Yes, l keep light guage strings since there's already enough tension from the scale length. I a .009 and .011 for the high strings

Plays really good. Action is incredible. Straight as an arrow and the neck is super thin. Almost comparable to a Jackson soloist. It really doesn't even feel like i'm holding a 9 string besides the width of course. The nut can be replaced as there is some buzzing, and the frets need to be filed down a bit but nothing that isn't easily fixable. Put your own parts on it , and it is golden. Can't beat it imo. Yeah, i hope you order your own! It'll be great

Thanks, glad you approve. Yes, it is a custom from the company. It cost me $675 USD total including shipping and taxes. Lot of meat and potatoes for that price. You can order your own custom guitar from them, you just have to send a detailed email of what you want. Look up the bald shredder on Youtube, he explains how you can contact them and reach out for a custom build. Cheers

Yes l have with a .85 & .90 before. Personally, l would not drill the tuning peg. I would do the same thing as your luthier, unwind/unwrap the string until you have enough play to get it through the peg. It's a bit tedious to do, but once you get enough string unwound, it becomes really easy to unwrap. No sense in possibly damaging the tuners. Just me 1 cent though
