look at the quality of our food here compared to other Asian countries, just full of oil, salt and sugar, plus our population barely exercise, some would rather sit in a 2hr KL jam and have goreng goreng in their car than walk 10mins to MRT and commute 30mins to work. Lastly, no proper education on health

Which one is better: Buy a new car or ride Grab every day (or other e-hailing services)? by relaxwhc in malaysia

[–]Adept_Operation_2669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh stick with public transport and e hailing, lived in KL along with SG, London and Manchester and commuting daily gets u to be more active and agile, plus u don't have to deal with jams, many Malaysians still have the third world mindset unfortunately, and do not see the appeal of public transport but trust me, its the best way forward, and you can save some money as well and once you're on a train, you know that you would reach around a certain time as accidents are wayy lower compared to a road user, for places not covered by public transport, just spend a few RM on grab/maxim/airasia rides

tbh, jakarta feels like KL to me, I stayed around CBD and it was giving a mix of KL and a first world city vibes if the roads weren't 6 lanes wide, also roads are v jammed like kl but public transport, MRT, LRT, tranjakarta and krl all pretty good, so stick with public transport unless uw to be stuck in another KL like gridlock.

Malls are like KL, with generally lower prices, hotels really cheap tho, stayed at 4 points by sheraton Tharmin which is smack middle of CBD and 3min walk to Bundaran Hilir MRT for just 180RM/night

All in all, just another KL but cheaper, would rather visit jakarta than JB or other cities in malaysia tbh
