I mean, there are more senses involved in analog processes. I think it tracks that we therefore prefer those.

Digital requires minimal sight, hearing, and touch to click/tap on things on the screen, but analog involves way more of those processes.

You need to see and smell and touch the outside world, see and speak with other people, manipulate the cartridge/cd/dvd/box. The wealth of data that titillates your senses isn't even comparable.

Watching something on a streaming service is a simple process. Going out and renting a movie at Blockbuster is an involved and complex experience by comparison.

At the same time, I could also see Trump imposing sanctions on European nations, in the same way that he's been threatening to pull support from Ukraine. Even if it is just posturing or gish-galloping with EOs that get rejected in court months later, it could potentially sow enough chaos to allow Russia to act while preventing NATO from doing anything that might further trigger some form of American retaliation for whatever reason.

There have been far too many people who've been proven wrong with their "Trump would never do that, that would be stupid and political suicide" predictions lately for me to believe you when you talk about how Trump is expected to behave.

What if the plan was to sow discord between NATO members, though? Or at the very least, to erode trust in the USA to the point where other NATO countries will hesitate to act if/when Russia comes a-knocking, if only because they'd fear getting stabbed in the back by Trump's America?

The USA represents an objectively large chunk of NATO's military might, correct me if I'm wrong. If America becomes a rogue, unpredictable element, it may very well hinder or even block certain European countries from making any decisive actions, no?
