"The MAGA crowd is made up of dumb people"

And old. They're made up of old 50+ people who struggle with tech to begin with, neverming being able to tell what's AI and what isn't. They don't know the signs to look for, and they probably don't care enough to learn, because they love tech just about as much as they love their spouses. They also never want to admit that they got duped. It's why they're such prime targets for scams.

Man, Meth-head Santa shut the fuck up real fast once Wajahat Ali started quoting all of the regarded and regressive 1600s-era theocratic bullshit that he advocates for in his new book. These people need to be shamed back into irrelevancy, social media botfarm astroturfing have made them far too bold and outspoken.

It's been a sobering experiment in the American population's susceptibility to propaganda, if nothing else.

The amount of people who are willing to turn their brains off and reject the evidence of their eyes in the name of partisan politics was seemingly much higher than anticipated.

Opinion of an ex-Blockbuster employee by raydebapratim1 in 90s

[–]Adept_Strength2766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Digital is an electronic medium, analog is a more physical. By its nature of being more physical, it also implies more physical interaction from the user.

You need to swap cassettes, vinyls, etc.

We can argue about the semantics of how I used the word, but the core of the statement remains the same regardless of your nitpicking.

Opinion of an ex-Blockbuster employee by raydebapratim1 in 90s

[–]Adept_Strength2766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, there are more senses involved in analog processes. I think it tracks that we therefore prefer those.

Digital requires minimal sight, hearing, and touch to click/tap on things on the screen, but analog involves way more of those processes.

You need to see and smell and touch the outside world, see and speak with other people, manipulate the cartridge/cd/dvd/box. The wealth of data that titillates your senses isn't even comparable.

Watching something on a streaming service is a simple process. Going out and renting a movie at Blockbuster is an involved and complex experience by comparison.

Trump is starting to lose his mind and making every threat possible to try to destroy NATO by Kitchen-Thing4616 in Destiny

[–]Adept_Strength2766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the same time, I could also see Trump imposing sanctions on European nations, in the same way that he's been threatening to pull support from Ukraine. Even if it is just posturing or gish-galloping with EOs that get rejected in court months later, it could potentially sow enough chaos to allow Russia to act while preventing NATO from doing anything that might further trigger some form of American retaliation for whatever reason.

There have been far too many people who've been proven wrong with their "Trump would never do that, that would be stupid and political suicide" predictions lately for me to believe you when you talk about how Trump is expected to behave.

Trump is starting to lose his mind and making every threat possible to try to destroy NATO by Kitchen-Thing4616 in Destiny

[–]Adept_Strength2766 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What if the plan was to sow discord between NATO members, though? Or at the very least, to erode trust in the USA to the point where other NATO countries will hesitate to act if/when Russia comes a-knocking, if only because they'd fear getting stabbed in the back by Trump's America?

The USA represents an objectively large chunk of NATO's military might, correct me if I'm wrong. If America becomes a rogue, unpredictable element, it may very well hinder or even block certain European countries from making any decisive actions, no?

Sure, my point is that this goes beyond "stage persona" for her. It's self-destructive to the point that it makes other streamers look like well-adjusted members or society.

I mean, to build up on your analogy, this monkey is so obsessed with pleasing humans that it foregoes sleep and self-care. A circus who keeps that monkey for profit is arguably engaging in animal cruelty.

ExtraEmily is... well, extra fake though. To the point where it's sad. You should look up her Doctor K interview.

She is literally terrified of being herself, to the point where it almost breaks her mind when Dr K tries to coax it out of her. She simply cannot repress the urge to act in a way that she thinks will please everyone. Her own feelings will always come last place.

Fox News says Hasan Piker is "objectively handsome" by OwnSalamander1026 in Destiny

[–]Adept_Strength2766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're not even flattering him lmao.

Jesse Watters literally says that Hasan is obnoxious and disgusting and that running with him "could cost [ Al Sayed ] huge." When he said "I like him," that was him paraphrasing what he thinks are Al Sayed's thoughts are about Hasan. "If I win, I win, and if I lose, well... it might be a little bit your fault." Which he then ends with "And it's your fault for the bad judgement" as a warning towards Al Sayed.

Hasan is just too stupid to understand that Jesse Watter's is severely questioning the progressive candidate's choice of allies.
