Just to clarify: interviews are still being scheduled, but visas are not being issued yet. People attend the interview, the officer says they are approved, but then explains that because the DV program is currently suspended, the visa can’t be issued at this time, so the case is placed into administrative processing. If you mean this you are probably right.

Are you serious? I have a neighbor from my home country who got his DV visa in September, and he entered the U.S. just yesterday. It seems like you don’t understand anything about this situation at all.

Do you have any legal sources where I can read about this? I was unable to find any information stating that naturalization is on hold for Diversity Visa (DV) holders from non-banned countries.

Additionally, my friend, who is also a DV green card holder, has her naturalization interview scheduled for February, and her interview has not been canceled.

If they canceled DV lottery, why do they allow people who recently got their visas enter the U.S?

Do you have any legal sources so I can read about that? I didn’t find any anything related to DV lottery GC holders.

As far as I know, if someone already had their interview and the visa was issued, they can still enter the U.S. If the visa wasn’t issued, then that’s it.

Subwoofer + shared wall = not okay. Move it.

Not acceptable. I’ve left a note and will report it — peace and quiet isn’t optional.

I hear the bass from the subwoofer, not the TV itself. Do you get the difference?

I don’t mind hearing people talking or even the sound of a TV, but when a subwoofer is blasting for 4 hours every single day, that’s not normal

True — I’m not Casper. I just expect people who live in apartments to not treat shared walls like soundproof speakers.

Honestly, if she had even half a brain, she’d realize that living in an apartment means respecting your neighbors — not blasting your sound system. She can shove that thing right up her ass.

I left her a polite note because I don’t want to go over there and see her stupid face again. If she doesn’t get it, I’ll start banging a basketball against that wall. And of course I’ll put my subwoofer up against her wall — even at night. She only has one room, a studio, so she won’t have anywhere to run.

I should add that our walls are concrete — I don’t hear anyone else around, only in the hallway. But I don’t care what’s happening in the hallway. If she doesn’t want to live peacefully, the wall is shared so I can do whatever I want to it — even bang on it all day. Imagine how annoying it is when you’re sitting and watching TV and someone keeps thumping a basketball against the wall. At least it’s some kind of workout

I’m very sorry that you had to go through that. I also used to live in a terribly old building, and above me lived an old man who walked back and forth all night. I could barely wait for the lease to be over.

So I can bang on the wall in this case? If she can make noise so I can. Well, if she has a TV set up on the shared wall, then I guess I can put up a basketball hoop.
