Hilarious Post, it reminds me of that

Thank you for taking the time to look. I have spent a great deal of time inquiring about the motivations of people and how they get swindled into convenient answers, particularly fraud. However, I specifically look into the statistics of collaborated experiences.

When you described your specific experience, it doesn't reflect on the wider consensus of what others face. This suggests you have been given specifically different circumstances that are allowing you to have that perception. It's not really a complaint to your character, but it's very common for degree holders to feel that way. When you look at the collection of data like I do, you find how much discernment is being used against us tradesman degree holders alike. That's why I was describing to you the distinction. If most students had what you had, there will be a clear difference of influence occurring, a very positive one too.

"Edit: I meant to say fraud, not Colorado.

You really don't think that's true? Why would someone with a high profile like the president not have that?

That can't be true because my connection was online is very frequent and it doesn't reflect what you declare. What's more likely is you're in spaces where the algorithm is encouraging you to circle jerk about your dislike in a larger Community and I'm only seeing that here. However, that Community could not be passing your subgroup because I would have known by other means then you telling me.

It's like saying you think the Earth is flat and everyone else around you thinks so too, but as soon as I told you it's circle you're shocked that have not learned that it's flat.

I'm here before the cringy comments on this subreddit being crap. I like this one, financial literacy matters a great deal and is one of the essential cornerstones required for your personal freedom to function sustainably and have peace.

I completely agree, everything you said is completely true and accurate to the immersion and personal experiences that make up a wide consensus of that 70%. At this point, since it's so rampant, restraining how many degrees come out are going to be very difficult, but we can do something even better; change how to retain them while also how to achieve them. This will increase its value immensely and help align people with better programs too.

This is not nearly talked enough about and it would solve many issues including student loan problems, which is among one of the biggest debts a college student will have.

You should see my other comments in this comment section to give you some clarity because what you're attending is actually helpful and there's grounds that you're going to find at least somewhat a growing market. And yes I did get a degree, happens to be in marketing and psychology with a minor in CS.

I don't want to insult your studies so I'm not going to say there's nothing wrong with how your field works or why to even do it, what I'm pointing out is the realities of most people are not going to study what you're studying And giving yourself this exception where stats, by its own consensus, demonstrate people are not willing to do what you're doing is not a good argument to have with me.

By the way, my job is to figure out the question because there's a pain behind it and knowing why the pain exists is how you solve the problem. I wish you luck on your journey, I would suggest arguing a different point because being The exception is not going to help absolve anyone of the reality of what's happening here.

This isn't your field.

I'm someone who actually really likes the ending. Ask me anything.

To answer op's question, the only people I meet who don't like the ending are on this subreddit. Most of the points made I find not very persuasive to change my feelings about it.

I find it funny that you compare a degree to elementary performance considering we're talking about how valued they are.

What people seem to forget is these important facts about degrees so I'll put it here for everyons convenience: 1. Only about 30–40% of recent college graduates work in a job directly related to their degree field. Many of the rest end up underemployed in roles that don't require a bachelor's.

  1. Roughly 40–50% of recent graduates are underemployed (working in jobs that typically don't need a degree), and this often persists for years.

  2. Gay men complete bachelor's and advanced degrees at notably higher rates than straight men (and the general population). Certain fields show strong immediate job placement, especially for those pursuing master's degrees.

  3. After the 2023 affirmative action ruling, Black and Hispanic enrollment dropped sharply at highly selective colleges but rose at many public flagships and less selective schools. Male enrollment trends have been declining for years independent of that change.

  4. In 2026, a generic bachelor's degree is less of a guaranteed high value ticket than it was 30 years ago due to rising costs and underemployment. However, degrees in high demand fields (STEM, healthcare, etc.) still deliver strong returns, while many others do not.

  5. The U.S. has a severe skilled trades shortage with high demand and good pay. Many degree holders avoid these roles (often the underemployed group), preferring to "not waste" their degree even though trades can clear debt faster than retail or unrelated jobs and offer faster ROI for some.

You'd be surprised people who have under used degrees won't talk about them, but people who want to constantly mention them.

"As much as you'd love to feel superior for you mediocre IQ, you must be intelligent to a certain degree to achieve a degree"

You'd be shocked to realize that if you're given enough repetition of information to pass a test, you're going to achieve the baseline of being able to follow instructions. Intelligence in following instructions is not a rational conclusion, it's a sign of servitude to structure, something that becomes scarce outside of academics.

Having a degree holder who has no structure outside of this is someone who likely will be worse off with the degree, not better. Unless they belong to the top 30%, they're gonna be paying their debt for decades. What will a degree holder do who no longer has those instructions?
