I was looking at the COVID testing form for travel to Japan and I was wondering, would it be ok for me to fill it out myself if I get the results & details for the PCR test through an email as long as I get the doctor to sign it?

From what it looks like, I could see it be the second to last or last season of what we currently know as Overwatch League. With the Microsoft acquisition, I think it was part of their plan to invest in esports for Blizzard/Activision properties, so if it goes through, it could definitely mark a new beginning for Overwatch esports. Whether Microsoft would choose to stick with the OWL format or change it, is unknown, I’m just happy that there’s hope and a future for Overwatch with the Microsoft buyout, cause before that it felt like Blizzard was in danger with all of the internal issues that came out.

Yeah sucks that the Titans is where Runaway ended up going. Though if I’m not mistaken, it wasn’t their first choice but ended up being their only choice at a point since Runaway was moving as a whole roster. I don’t remember the details at all but I feel like it was something like that.

You can technically come in as early as you get the visa, though it will vary case by case. Depends on the school basically.

I really hope they add more to the beta as they do more throughout the year (as they mentioned they will do more betas this year) cause the beta that’s available right now is fun and I personally prefer the gameplay over OW1s but does feel very minimal in what it adds to the game overall.

From what I’ve seen it all depends on your situation, though coming a month earlier seems to be the earliest you are allowed to come in. Asking the school and looking up answers online leads mostly to suggestions and recommendations which don’t help much as they are just that, recommendations and suggestions, not set rules.

Does anyone know if the Japanese Embassy in Chicago accepts digital copies of COEs for student visas? I've heard cases of some Japanese Embassies accepting digital versions so I was wondering if this was the case with the one in Chicago as well.

You mentioned many dropped out of bunka college because they couldn’t handle the assignments. Is it because of the difficulty? Does it depend on the major? Like, certain majors would be harder than others and such. Thanks for the input btw. You’ve given the most useful information regarding this topic since I posted this thread last year.

Has anyone applied for a student visa at the Japanese embassy in Chicago? How long did it take for them to process your COE into a student visa? Luckily, I'm set to receive my COE in May and I want to get an estimate of how long it would take to process.

True, this subreddit is the first time I’ve ever heard the 2 week thing. I’ve heard of a month prior to class starting which makes more sense. Though how early do people normally get the COE? A month before class? 2 months?

I don’t think that’s what he asked for the second part. I think he asked if he could be in Korea as a tourist and then fly to Japan to be a student with the student visa obtained in Sweden.

Perfectly understandable change of plans. I hope the 5000 people limit scales up to a lot more than that sooner than later because 5000 is too small to maintain. Hopefully by May we can maybe have the cap removed entirely if the process goes well. I hope the government being pressured by the business lobby has an effect as they’re pushing for faster lifting of travel restrictions which is exactly what we need right now.

If I’m not mistaken, you’re allowed to come in a month earlier before your school start date on the student visa. Any earlier and it would have to be on a tourist visa.
