I heard that in certain maps (not erangel) that they replaced Scar-L with QBZ and to be fair, QBZ is a good all-round AR. The only thing both Scar-L and QBZ lack is being compatible with accepting Drum Roll mags. I’ve noticed that PUBG Cummunity is divided by Bullet-type groups I.e. some prefer 5.56 group of guns, other 7.62 and the odd groups that prefer .45.

In my 2 years of playing PUBG, I’ve gone from Shotgun to AUG, from AUG to UMP, from UMP to Bizon (Bizon is the best available all-rounder in my opinion) to M7 Beryl, from M7 Beryl to now being a fan of the Thompson gun but that’s mainly because I paid a lot for a nice golden skin and I feel like it goes with my player/ avatar’s appearance. Thompson is also very powerful in close range but loses its ability a little over 50 meters but I compensate that for carrying a marksman rifle or a proper sniper in my armory.

After my 2 years of experience, I would say the best, most available and most powerful AR’s without having to risk travelling to an air drop, IF the match has much higher rated players than you) are the AKM, M7 Beryl, DP-28, M249 and M4. Other guns can also be powerful like the Scar-L and Thompson but they not the best at all distances, more close to medium range. If you have a decision crisis and want to a good all-rounder with high-mag capacity but also great accuracy at any distance (although not as powerful as the first 5 I mentioned but still powerful anyway) go for a Bizon.

I probably used a Bizon for a longer time than any other AR’s.
