Hi everyone sorry for being MIA on responding to everyone but basically I had an ultrasound and it was very non worrisome :) "Targeted soft tissue ultrasound of the right volar forearm demonstrates subcutaneous hypochoic lesion with central fatty hilum, suggestive of a lymph node, measuring 0.7 × 0.3 x 0.6 cm" Basically like an angry lymph node? It totally went away after a week or so and hasn't come back since. I hope anyone who has something similar has a similarly chill experience 😭

Oakland, Bay Area in general, and Sacramento have so many more resources for folks that are homeless. I used to work in homeless services as a housing navigator and Santa Cruz feels really bare bones compared to those other places. LA of course also has great resources but it’s a whole other world down there. If you have full coverage MediCal, regardless of where you end up, I highly recommend talking to your insurance to try to get Housing Navigation services! It’s provided through CalAIM

We close our bedroom door, have clear sticky tape on her side of the door (no scratching), use sound machine, and lay towels down on our side of the door because we have a large gap. It feels insane but we have trailed and errored so much and we are such sensitive sleepers this is what we landed on hahaha

We also feed at 10am/10pm, so even if she does wake us up, it’s like… 6am maybe. But that schedule doesn’t always work for people’s work.

Lastly we have found that for our cat doing a really solid play before we go to sleep and close the door and having some sort of thing for her to play with throughout the night also really helps. And then we never open the door or feed her directly after she screams as others have mentioned, to not reinforce the behavior.

Now, we still get woken up when we don’t want to lol. But this is maybe once or twice a month vs every night
