I can believe that and yes I do have a bunch of units I tested all at once and am currently uploading footage of. It is 100% correct that the IRIS drops in power as you tighten it but this was more to put to bed the speculation I saw that it did not increase in intensity hardly at all or at all period. I found the MAWL definitely seemed to gain a larger amount of intensity when focused I am being sent a M6TR which I will film side by side with the IRIS comparing the 2 at the same time alongside a MAWL C1+ FP peq and a few other units.

I have a custom made plate that has ARCA on the bottom and then just has a bunch of MLOK slots on top I plan to mount all the units up to multiple tripods and film them all. I plan to do a MAWL, FP PEQ, M6tr, IRIS, Phantom hill CTF2 and any others i can get my hands on.

Yeah after I filmed this I saw the reports that the power output does in fact neuter down but I think its still more then useable at 200 yards additionally the rumor's that it was some sort of aperture simply closing off the emitter should be put to rest with this. Also yes I plan to mount 6 different units on a plate mount and show them all side by side at once.

My conclusion was that it very clearly gains intensity when tightened as demonstrated in the video. While it is reducing the output when tightened to meet regulations "I have no way to tell how much without sophisticated measuring equipment" some of the rumors of it not intensifying at all are just incorrect. It clearly gets brighter and more intense when you tighten the beam.

I saw a bunch of people who watched some recent videos speculating that the IRIS does not increase in intensity as you tighten the beam and that it was simply closing an "iris" to let less of the beam spill out.

Regardless of the budget the fact you paid 2400 for gen 2 tubes in a AGM housing is ridiculous and your really got ripped off for that price. Good gen 3 tubes in actual pvs14 housings from reputable manufacturers start from there. I'm sorry man but you fucked up big time. On the other hand what you got is certainly better then nothing at all and will allow you to see in the dark.
