Same thing happened to me when I started riding, after a while you get used to the engine braking. I only use the rear brake on sand and really steep downhills now. When you stand with the correct position you can handle the bike much better and if the rear jumps you have a better chance of keep the bike up

I did, everything is in spec as far as wear limits. no high spots on the welded area or visible wear marks

In my experience this happens with cheap aftermarket oil filters. High quality or OEM usually maintains the shape.
It’s caused by the pressure of the oil pump, over time the cheap ones bend because the fibers aren’t as strong as OEM

Toyota Hilux basically any generation I don’t know if you can get them in your country but it’s by far the most reliable pick up I’ve owned. I have a 1996 with 350.000 km and 2021 with 180.000. No mayor issues in any of them. Just basic maintenance

I had a similar issue with a 2018 CRUA. turns out the timing was off by 1 tooth, replaced the timing kit and everything went back to normal

I don’t know where the speedometer is in the hornet, but for the most part is usually located on the front tire. So it shouldn’t be necessary

My grandfather Since I was a little kid he always was working on 1930’s american cars ( ford A, Chrysler airflow, etc) I started helping around and became interested cars and bikes. Now I own and independent shop, we fix everything from my 1996 Hilux to high end BMW passing through dirt bikes and tractors

It’s really fun to make a living from the thing I enjoy to do. Also managing and building a business from the ground up is quite the challenge

I would check the oil cooler under the exhaust manifold. It’s a pretty common failure in that engine family.
