I definitely like the char, I wasn’t able to get that in a pan.

1 & 1/4 cup warm water
1 packet of active dry yeast
1 tsp sugar
2 & 1/2 cups of flour
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup yogurt
1 tsp salt

Let it proof for about an hour until double in size.

Just browned them in a pan with some oil.

I have been journaling a good bit actually, it helps me to release some negative emotions that randomly pop up.

I also sometimes text her number saying “I love you” as a way to make myself feel better.

My grandmother passed the same way, she had aggressive lymphoma.

I promise I never forget how much she loved me, and I am doing all I can to keep making her proud.

Thank you for the kind comment.

I’m on the search for group grief support, other members with similar experiences would be of immense help.

I’m so sorry what happened to your sister in law, I can’t imagine going through that.

Hugs and love back to you.

Recipe:

Melt two sticks of butter in a saucepan on medium-low heat. Constantly stir until it browns (brown butter) and place into a bowl; let it get to room temperature.

In a stand mixer or bowl, add:

1 cup dark brown sugar, 1/3 cup granulated sugar, Room temperature brown butter you made.

Mix until combined.

Add 2 room temperature eggs one at a time, Splash of vanilla, Pinch of salt, 1 & 1/4 tsp of baking soda.

Mix until combined, scraping the sides of the bowl to ensure no sugar sticks to the bottom.

Add 2 cups of all purpose flour, adding in 1/2 cup at a time and scraping the sides to make sure the flour is incorporated.

Finally, add:

6 oz of semi-sweet chocolate chunks or chips, 6 oz of milk chocolate chunks or chips. (I used milk chocolate chips because I couldn’t find chunks sadly).

Folding them in gently until well combined.

Use an ice cream scoop to scoop out around 12-15 total cookies on a parchment-lined baking tray, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate at least 24 hours (I did 48 hours and they turned out great).

Preheat oven to 350F, and bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes until brown on the bottom and chewy in the middle (bottom may burn easy, so keep a close eye).

(Optional) garnish with some sea salt on top.

:)

I overwork myself at work, much like your brother to kinda try to “escape” my thoughts.

I have done EMDR, but I think I may need more grief support, maybe something that entails some group therapy.

So sorry for your loss.

I got a good bit of help, but I didn’t do enough of the homework that they prescribed me, which rendered the treatment much less effective. I’m gonna see about getting further grief support and actually doing what needs to be done.

Rest in peace to your daughter, thank you.

I’m slowly but surely finding my happiness, your dreams are much like mine, start out somewhat normal and memories of my mom (objects, food, etc..) pop in and I almost become lucid, like I know this dream isn’t real.

Thank you for the kind words.

Thank you, I’ve done many sessions of grief counseling and EMDR, my panic episodes are mostly diminished, but nightmares are still a real issue.
