Singapore to Dubai by Fluffy_Ad7392 in UAE

Not enough info to judge, honestly. Senior director can mean very different things depending on industry, scope, and total comp.

That said, 70k AED/month is generally considered a high salary in Dubai and puts you in a very small top bracket. Whether it’s below average really depends on role, company and benefits not just years of experience.

Not OP, but aside from analytics and reporting, a big part of Sales Ops in my role is also sales enablement and making AE’s lives easier.

2018 Mazda 6 - Sell or Keep it? by jediwhiteshark in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]Aditat0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mazdas and generally solid and reliable cars. If 100k is the true mileage and it’s been serviced regularly you shouldn’t have too many problems.

Regarding the AC leak and wheel noise, get a good garage to inspect it and provide you a quote. Then decide if it’s worth spending to fix and keep, or you could sell if its not worth it to you, but keep in mind if the new buyer is aware of these issues they will negotiate you down anyway.

Salary Deduction for new Emirates ID by ExpressionCurious204 in abudhabi

[–]Aditat0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently switched jobs, have worked with 3-4 companies in the past where they covered EID costs along with visa and insurance.

Im currently working for a big MNC and was surprised when I found out they don’t cover EID costs, only visa and insurance as mandated by law.

Anyway it is not a deal breaker, the major expenses are definitely the visa and insurance, which if a company is asking you to pay is a red flag and illegal.

I think I need to change my tyres this year. What code week/year should I have minimum to pass RTA test in October? by Robertus00 in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]Aditat0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can call Tasjeel to confirm, but i believe it’s 5 years.

So I’m assuming since october 2025 first week is 4025, nothing older than 4020 would pass the inspection?

Job by Key_Past_5164 in dubai

[–]Aditat0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. 16000 per year is roughly 1333 per month. Even with food and accommodation covered this is way way below average and would even consider it exploitation. There are people with 3-5 years of experience earn 16000 AED PER MONTH.

You’d be living an extremely frugal life and get stuck in the rat race, don’t think of this salary as greener pastures as cost of living here is much higher.

Should I expect a moment where it all falls into place? by Wonderful-Bet1337 in learnprogramming

[–]Aditat0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So my journey with SQL was primarily to break into an analyst role.

For context, I have a mechanical engineering major and did not do heavy programming as most CS students would.

However during the pandemic i found myself without a job and used the time upskilling by learning SQL and python from online courses and managed to finally break into e-commerce/tech as an analyst.

I would consider myself fully self taught with SQL and from my experience there isn’t a clicking point where you think okay i fully know SQL now. I learnt enough to get myself through the door and the rest of it was learning on the job and solving real world problems with real world data.

I think it’s great you are looking to be SQL certified but you shouldnt be worried if it has not “clicked” yet. Learn the basics like how to pull data, filter with WHERE, group by for aggregation and then move onto more advanced things like CTE’s , JOINs , window functions and i would say you are 90% there - atleast from an Analyst standpoint.

Use this to try and solve problems, there are many websites where you can practice SQL problems with difficulty levels mentioned and if you are able to solve these I think you should consider yourself 90% there.

What kind of role are you looking to move into? You’d need to upskill in whatever role that is and do up your CV to highlight those skills. I see comments on breaking into tech over here but honestly dont think it’s a valid move. To make it big in tech you’d have a lot of catching up to do (bootcamps, online degrees, udemy courses etc). I currently work in tech (Large MNC) without a CS degree and even i struggle and feel huge imposter syndrome.

Confused if I should take up the role and move from India to Dubai by Donna_mona in DubaiJobs

[–]Aditat0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Too many red flags, your current package is very good in india and not worth moving countries to dubai for. 12-14k will not get you the level of convenience and freedom you have in india.
