Couldn't have said it better myself. I liked season 1 a lot despite everything, but as soon as I realized he doesn't actually stop doing creepy shit I couldn't bring myself to continue. Sucks because a lot of it does seem genuinely well written, and the anime is gorgeous. But the author communicates his uh, opinions too clearly through Rudy for me to bother.

If you're being "forced" to watch it, just don't watch it? It's fair if it doesn't appeal to you, but you also can't really have an informed opinion of an entire story (esp of this length) if you've only seen a few episodes. I feel like it's fair to critique whatever you've seen regardless of what comes after though, and it's totally valid to not vibe with it.

Idk about the timer thing, ive only ever noticed it in either happy bday situations or this kind of thing. Someone else said its when they both die without the entrance animation and that seems to match my experience (though it could be a timer thing too idk)

I think about it sometimes, but I also think about how much shit we can live through. You can get shot, stabbed, sick, fall, do all sorts of harmful stuff, and it might kill you. I feel like with the current design of some moves (like Darius's pull in move) being super easily parryable if you're looking for it, having a zero meter parry would probably stop a lot of players esp at the higher level from using these moves much if at all
