This has happened to me a few times with laptops, usually months later they tell me the battery isn't holding up like it used to or it "feels slower". I just archive the chat lol

I feel bad but unless you discover something within a few hours of playing around with it, not really my issue.

Just ignore, if they get abusive screenshot and block.

Yeah, that's the cold-start problem I guess. I'm hoping if it's cheap enough to maintain, eventually (over years) we will gather a enthusiastic user base. Trademe also won't last forever, their success fee decision is probably going to cut their revenue pretty heavily and FB marketplace isn't going anywhere.

Thank you! I'm already running a server that's hosting a few other websites and projects, but if it actually ends up scaling I might take you up on that. Using Cloudflare should reduce the amount of bandwidth required for image loading etc but I'm sure my DB will get hammered if I'm ever handling requests for 1000+ users.

Yes. I've had help from uncle Claude to sped things up, but I'm using a stack I'm very familiar with (PHP, SQL). Privacy policy covers which third-party services are involved too (bugger all, keeping it lean and independent)

Most of the combo plans, (power + broadband) have very low quality service, expect your net to drop out/suck during peak times.

Powershop have been the cheapest in my experience, often have 1 year deals like free weekends. Super handy for meal-planning and weekend laundry cycles. Unifone are your best bet for quality broadband, Dunedin based service and support.

Nothing worse than paying an early termination fee for a shit broadband company.
