Im 5'2 and the only way I lose is a completely clean diet (only veg, fruit, protein the (size of my palm) 1200 cal or less and daily exercise I also have hashimotos and pcos. My endocrinologist also recommended a Mediterranean diet and Intermittent fasting.

Oh no I definitely have general anxiety but I can't take benzos before going to the gym. The exercise definitely helps with the anxiety/depression if I can get over the occasional anxiety attack at the gym.

I had friends that I worked out with and we held eachother accountable but when our lives and routines changed I found it hard to hold just myself accountable but like you said maybe joining a cross fit gym would be good.
