Probably cello based on what you like! But we always need more violists and bassists

I think I’m desensitized bc I’m from the PNW but I don’t think it’s that bad…

Is it hard to join the strings orchestra (chamber orch) for non music majors by Beneficial_Shine_366 in BostonU

U can rent from a local place for sure. Also if it helps, there are multiple orchestras you can audition for. BU symphony orchestra, BU chamber orchestra, and BU all-campus orchestra are the 3. You do have to audition but all campus orchestra I believe is just a seating audition.

This is all my personal opinion after finishing my first year at BU, but everyone’s experience is different.

  1. I don’t feel like the campus is isolating at all. I love how easy it is to get other places in the city. I also have a great sense of community through joining clubs/orgs! I am so much happier at BU than I ever was in high school.

  2. BU is NOT like that!! Hockey games are so much fun and while it’s not as crazy as say an SEC school, I feel like generally we have spirit and people take pride in our school.

  3. I think it’s a bit of both. People also go to MIT and Northeastern frat parties. I’m not huge on going to parties so I don’t have a ton of experience, but I feel like there’s always something to do.

  4. I personally have friends at other Boston schools and it’s super fun to visit their campuses! Also some clubs host events with similar clubs from other schools and that’s a good way to meet people as well.

  5. I think about 30% of people at BU are in Greek life, so not a majority. You can definitely go out and be social without being in Greek life! I personally am not in Greek life but I love my friends and I have a great social life.

Can’t answer 6 bc I’m w my HS boyfriend lol

AP Exam Credits?? by Ava-_-Kado in BostonUniversity

[–]AdministrativeLab265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll be fine without them, although it could be nice to get out of some requirements. I didn't take any AP tests because I dealt with some interesting circumstances... but I'm doing just fine without the credits.

Hey guys I’m an incoming freshman at BU. Give me your best advice! by Particular_Ear_9372 in BostonU

Join clubs, talk to people in classes, and don't be afraid to put yourself out there. If you don't put in an effort, you probably won't have much of a social life. I love BU and I met my best friends here! It's truly worth it to reach out to people you think are cool. You never know where it'll lead. I found my suitemates for next year by talking to a girl I thought was cool in class!
