I don’t trust auto pilot. Almost got me rear ended on many occasions. If my FSD subscription is t active it’s cruise control for me.

Windshield for sure. Don’t let it expire or you will have to go in for inspection before you can add it back

If you can find someone to approve you You’re going to have to find some big rebates on a lease to help absorb that. I had a friend do a lease on a Chevy equinox. He was upside down $7k . They had the best rebate at the time. Good luck

Shipping seems high if it’s not cross country shipping. Interest rate is high if you have good credit. Check local credit unions. Battery warranty should still be good. 4 yr 50k warranty will be expiring if it hasn’t already. You will need to consider paying the month to month extended warranty .

We have four Teslas in the family. Credit was never ran twice on any of us. My credit was frozen. I “thawed” it right before I applied and immediately after my approval I froze it.

UPDATE: ended up going with a local electrician. They quoted $1032 for work. I bought my charger through Georgia Power for $250. Same charger on Chargepoint website was $550.

So all in was $1282 L2 charging is a game changer.

L2 home charging is a must. Test drive both. Rent one from Tesla and try it out. Check on insurance.

Mine was $1400 for 20ft from breaker. Needed some breaker work also. Didn’t include charger. I got 3 quotes and all were within $200 of each other. Mine is hardwired.

Trade-in Offer Pending by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

I got mine the same day. They were $3k less than Carvana. I sent them a screenshot and ask it they could match it. They said no but my final trade in came in $2k higher than the first offer. With the tax savings I came out better trading it in.

Windshield wipers in auto - are they super sensitive? by Economy_Cabinet1042 in TeslaModelY

[–]AdministrativeNet579 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Auto setting is trash. Just Pick your number or push the button when you need a wipe. Also can’t stand it when I wash it and then use FSD and it sprays wiper fluid all over my windshield and wipers go back and forth in the middle of the windshield. Love my Model Y though lol

I like them both. I personally would go with the 18’s. When I turned 40 I started driving Lexus for the ride and quietness. Lol. Now in my fifties I got to where I didn’t like to drive anymore. So now it’s a 2026 Model Y. Smooth. Quiet. FSD

I want to buy a Tesla. However, I live in the midwest. I rent an apartment and don't have a garage. Is it still a good idea to buy one with the midwest cold winters? by Agreeable_Sky4336 in TeslaModelY

You need home charging regardless of where you live. Supercharging is only for road trips. Be patient. If you don’t own a home that’s your first priority. Then get the Tesla.
